Stories

The Depths of a Darkened Mind by Ron x Hermione

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy is alone, wanted by Death Eaters, and yearning for sheer love. His cold eyes wander the Daily Prophet, smirking in an attempt to accept that fact he was a convicted Death Eater and wanted dead by both sides for betrayal. He seeks refuge in a chocolate frog instead of a bitter wheat cereal, his teeth savouring the sweet taste as he chewed, thinking only of dark things.

But upon staring at the prize that comes with the candy, a Wizard card, he finds himself whisked away to a dangerous place, the air filled to the brim with death, now feeling as if he will retch if he doesn’t escape. But he soon finds that he can’t. Running into giants, more cards, and a secret passageway that will ultimately determine his fate, Draco Malfoy will ultimately find his way home, whether it's the kind of home he wishes for, or one he must choose.

This was written for the Gauntlet by Ron x Hermione of Hufflepuff. The judges gave this story third place in the Gauntlet! Thanks so much to you guys!

“Draco didn’t know what it was, whether it was the intoxicating appeal of forbidden fruit, or the way her hair blew in the breeze, with lovely brown tendrils that lay elegantly down her back. What he did know, was that she was beautiful.”

I’m Social Loner from Hufflepuff, and this is for the June one-shot challenge.

Home by msbigbad

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: One Shot. Ron POV. Angsty.

"I never thought that I would be the one to survive this war. I had always imagined myself the first casualty. I imagined myself diving in front of a bolt of green light for one of my friends. For I am no one important and never have been. Not brilliant like Hermione or brave like Harry, I am ordinary. I am expendable. "

"I never told her how I felt about her. How I could stare at her for ages, fight with her forever, love her for eternity and it’d never be enough. But I was too late. I’d missed my chance. "

My Slytherin Pride by SpookyMulder

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: One last desperate letter tells the story of how humility can find even the most corrupt of souls when death is the only way out. Things always look different in the end, but it goes to show that it's never too late to redeem yourself, to show compassion without prejudice, and to be merciful.

Thin Lines by Ron x Hermione

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: “If you defy it, though, I will be gone by tonight.”

There is a thin line between teacher and student. In Severus Snape’s case, this line is extremely thin.

He has been watching a certain young girl take the body of a woman for many years, yet he has never professed his true feelings before now. But when he finally comes out with the truth, the girl defies him. He is not able to take this, and has told her he will have to depart Hogwarts forever, ultimately switching to the Dark Side, or worse.

But does this girl- woman- have feelings for him? And if she does, will she be able to stop him from leaving in time?

Holy Merlin! by Saphy is Love

Rated: Professors •
Summary: There are all sorts of Marauder Era stories, but is there one that tells the Tale of Our Heroes from the very beginning? I’m not too sure about that… But here’s one! This shall be a long-term fanatic’s fictional story, but you guys love those, don’t you?

Anyway, onto the plotline. Sirius, Remus, James and Peter all are very good friends, but they weren’t always that way. How did they meet? Where did they meet? Why did Remus ever speak to these idiots? All these questions and more will be answered by my ideas in this hilariously dramatic fanfic!

No More Waiting by Sly Severus

Rated: Professors •
Summary: As she awaits death, Bellatrix finds herself being faced with memories and realities that she was not at all prepared to deal with.

Excerpt: The ever present darkness remained with her, but of course it did. Her vision was gone. She would see nothing but darkness for the rest of her days. This was something she had grown to accept. She had also grown to accept the constant gnawing in her stomach and weakening of her body because she always refused food. There was no reason to eat. Everyone, herself included, would be better off when she was dead.

This is an off-shot of Blinded. I recommend reading it first.
