The Dark Phoenix by L A Moody

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
Even in a time of peace, evil never sleeps…

In the post Deathly Hallows world Harry Potter is a broken man, rejecting the public’s view of him as a hero and seeing himself as a destroyer of lives. Although married to Ginny and embraced by the boisterous Weasley clan, he holds himself apart from true happiness. The only solace he finds is among the other shell-shocked victims of the war: George Weasley and Andromeda Tonks. But young Teddy Lupin is determined to unearth the joy his godfather once had for life and in so doing adds to the alternate dimension where the cost of Voldemort’s defeat was not so high.

In the alternate reality, it has been seven years since Voldemort’s defeat. Reclaiming his own destiny, Harry has built a new life for himself from the ruins of the Potter estate. Although he did not hesitate to claim Ginny as his own, it has been an unusually long engagement period as neither of them has been a hurry to take that next irrevocable step. For Harry, these extra years have allowed him to recapture some of the carefree days of youth as he established his career in the Auror Department. Determined not to follow in her mother’s footsteps, Ginny has been making the most of the intervening years to cement her career with the WWN. The Lupin clan has been steadily expanding with the eldest, Teddy, immediately establishing himself as a Metamorphmagus, sporting bright turquoise hair at birth. In contrast, his younger sister inherited the delicate beauty of the Black family. As her parents await the signs that will identify her as a witch, one has to wonder whether she has any unique powers of her own.

Although this story starts on a dark and disturbing note, it is ultimately a tale of hope, healing and survival. It serves as an epilogue to both, Cruel Moon for the Misbegotten and Harry Potter and the Hero’s Lament; and consequently, contains all manner of spoilers for the canon series as well as the alternate universe my prior tales have established. Reading those two previous stories is recommended. Contains original characters who were established in prior narratives.

Her Twisted Path by Filius_Flitwick101

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Voldemort has been vanquished in the Second Wizarding War and Hermione returns to start life afresh at the Burrow. However, a cloud of misery and gloom hangs over the house as the Weasleys mourn the death of their loved ones. To escape the atmosphere of despair and grieving, Hermione decides to live with the Lovegoods, where everything is serene and calm and the horrors of the world seem unrealistic. Parvati Patil is also staying with Luna and Xenophilius as her parents and twin sister are away in India, visiting their relatives. Ron is constantly pressurizing Hermione into marriage and sending daily owls as well as taking full advantage of the regular visits Hermione makes to the Burrow. But Hermione does not want to marry Ron, for she seeks many qualities in a life partner which Ron does not possess. When Molly marries Ginny to Harry, Ron gets another reason to goad her into commitment. And when Draco Malfoy arrives at the Lovegoods for a "brief stay", Hermione experiences unfamiliar emotions and realizes that she has fallen in love with Draco. But will Draco accept her despite her parentage? And what shall become of Ron when he comes to know of this development? An epic tale of adventure and romance, with Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Parvati and Luna as the main characters.

Fading Ink by Wicked Sapphira

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: When searching the Riddle House for Horcruxes, Hermione comes across a blank, seemingly harmless, diary, and a mysterious key hidden in a bureau. When she later discovers that the "harmless" diary is really Tom Riddle's diary, she vows to never write in it again, but when a reckless plan forms in her head to help her, Harry, and Ron find the rest of the Horcruxes, she breaks that vow. Will Hermione Jean Granger, the brightest witch of her age, manage to best Tom Marvolo Riddle, one of the darkest and most powerful wizards alive? ...Or will he beat her at her own game, and successfully ensnare her with the power of the diary? Hermione Granger/Tom Riddle. Mostly compliant with Book Seven, but the AU warning is there just in case.

Forever Ginny by Secret

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ten years after the fall of the Dark Lord, Ginny has found herself trapped in a life that was never meant to be hers. As the sun once again rises on the most dreaded and celebrated day of the year, Ginny learns that hiding from reality won't stop reality from eventually finding you.

The Torment Bred in the Race by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It's been twelve years since the Wizarding world saw Harry Potter after he mysteriously disappeared into the Forbidden Forest during the Final Battle in 1998. Now Lord Voldemort has conquered, extending his reach not just over Britain, but France, Germany, and Spain as well.

Meanwhile, hidden deep within the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, a terrifying secret is brewing at the magic school that McGonagall herself founded just after the second battle for Hogwarts. It is at this school where Muggle-born Leah Andrews and her best friends, Gwen and Cory, will find themselves thrown into the search for the truth: What is a dead snake doing hung from a tree like a sacrificial lamb? Who really is the new DADA professor with the strange colour-changing eyes and bad mood swings? And just what does a gentle half-giant gamekeeper have to do with any of this?

One thing is for certain - all is definitely not well.

This is the sequel to Alternate Ending. I strongly recommend you read that one first, although I don't think it's necessary.

Excerpt from the Epilogue:

As he sidestepped them, he glanced down again at the wrinkled slip of parchment Charlie had handed him two days earlier with nothing more than a quiet word that there may still be one last loose end to tie.
