Moonlight pale,
Upon leathers of black,
Through fields and dales,
No way to look back.

Grey eyes twinkling,
In face of youth,
Loss of something,
Hidden truth.

Misplaced blame,
Suspicions grown,
Named and shamed,
Terrors flown.

Trusted by none,
The ones he loved out of sight,
The only one,
In such terrible flight.

And so he escapes,
Upon his night beast,
A swishing of a cape,
No way to sleep.

And into the night,
He travels in fear,
No peace, no 'alright',
No one he holds dear.

He is lost in his guilt,
Of crimes he never done,
The anger he felt,
The cause of one.

So now he flies,
His target known,
Even if he dies,
At least he has flown.

He will find the rat,
And make him pay,
But he shall pay for that,
Forever and a day.

His life stolen,
Too young and too soon,
Black angel fallen,
No morning no noon.
