From the top of the tower
On the side of Love,
I alone saw the Teacher’s descent:
Fading with our hopes,
Crumbling with our faith,
Dying with our dreams.

From the top of the tower
On the side of Love,
I alone saw the struggling Dragon:
Faltering and flawed,
Stars in his moonbright hair,
A chink in his drawling armor.

From the top of the tower
On the side of Love,
I alone saw the Princely traitor:
Oily black and milky pallor,
A deadly contrast,
False truths and honest lies.

From the top of the tower
On the side of Love,
I alone saw the Seer’s validation:
‘Calamity. Disaster.’ Ever closer.
Evermore for he is nevermore—
I am the lightning struck tower.
I alone.
