Life in Technicolor

A roll in my pale, determined hands
And a light now beams from
Each friend that appears
As though the dove of peace
Has entered all our racing hearts. 
And I do not feel fear
But comfort in their loving smiles. 
Apologies exchange but I know
That time is wasting on...
Stay close to me. 
The dreaded walk forward
In the forest that seems to glow 
Instead of haunt...
Calm is all that pulses
In my steady veins
And life does not even flash
Before my brazen eyes. 
Rather it floats around me
Like a clear blue sea
And envelopes my very soul. 
This is what it means
To be happy--
It isn't riches. 
It isn't living. 
It's being with the ones
You love. 
It's giving them your life
So theirs may be filled 
With joy. 
And so do I send
All my sacrificial
Love...
A flash of green light
And everything is gone...
