sweetest wine
life's wellspring
the rust of humanity
the tang of bodies
that change
that lose
sweat and tears
the intoxication
fizzing,
filling
rising above the cold
above the parched earth
rising
up
to
life.

Author's Note: This was written for the Random Song Title Challenge II in September 2013 for Poetry, Anyone? The song from which both title and inspiration are drawn is "A White Demon Love Song," by, I believe, the Killers, unless Julia has a cover or something. It's also really far below the word count minimum, just being honest here, so there's a bit of rambling here in the author's note.
