Artist's/Author's Notes: Snape’s point of view. While I don’t expect he was allowed in the house after Lily died, I think he could have obsessed over the idea of being there to say his goodbye.

The Dark Lord took her away from me.
She's passed through the veil, now I've got to be good,
So I can see her again when I leave this world.

Dumbledore promised to keep her safe,
But it turned out she’d been betrayed.
The Dark Lord warned, –Step aside,
Silly girl, only your son need die.”
She stood her ground, pleading for her child.
The Dark Lord killed her, and then he smiled.
But her death cast a powerful charm,
The Dark Lord’s gone; the boy’s unharmed.

She's passed through the veil, now I've got to be good,

By the time I arrived, it was too late,
My love had already met her fate,
