I currently live in the great state of South Dakota. Why do I live in a place with such nasty winters, I don't know. Since most of my family lives far away in more exotic places than I do, my life revolves around my four dogs, Sampson, Raphael, Seamus, and Mayhem. They are a min-pin, a toy poodle, a teacup Malti-Poo, and a Great Dane, respectively.
I've always had a fascination with the mental illness aspect that characterizes Bellatrix Black Lestrange. My first story is her story. On one site I was sorted into Ravenclaw but I think the hat made a mistake. Most days I feel like a Slytherin!
The ending reminds me of my son when he was admitted to college. I was teaching at USD at the time and he applied. When he got his acceptance letter all he could say, over and over, was "I'm going to the U. I'm going to the U." It was a big deal to him after a few years of having everything go wrong:D I can understand Daniella not going close to places that reminded her of her pain. I was annoyed with Albus when he was afraid that Severus would screw up Order plans by trying to exact revenge. You know, there's more to life than the Order. Great chapter. I loved this story. See you in the next one soon.
Author's Response: Two down. One more to go.
Have you ever seen the banners for these stories. I worked hard to find three pictures of women who had similar features but aged as Daniella would have aged. I'll send them if they're not in the list.

I thought Daniella might be suffering from more than nerves in the last chapter:D Then I thought, they're both really good at Potions so of course they'd use protection. Then again, I thought that the 'Beltane affair' may have snuck up on them rather quickly. I take it that Severus doesn't know about the baby yet. Albus never does stop being manipulative does he, although in this instance I think he may be right about waiting to inform Severus. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Sometimes passion gets a hold of you and there's little you can do. EVen the best of us have "accidents"...But, was it really an "accident"? Hmmm
Dani
This is just another case of some guy's low self-esteem coming into play and mucking everything up. For a potions master, Severus is acting kind of dumb. Doesn't he remember the times he was with Daniella? Maybe being Crucioed did something to his memory. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Insecurity and jealousy can make even a sane man insane.
Dani
I'm relieved that everything worked out--at least for that small period of time. One never knows what the future will bring. I just feel sad that he's missed so much of the pregnancy. I am full of hope that all will go well for them. Great chapter.
Author's Response: For now. There are many "family" moments.

I was looking for a Snape/Hermione pairing and decided to try this story. So far, so good.
I'm not quite sure Hermione argued her way into his bedroom. At this point I think she's just trying to fulfill her side of the bargain.
I'm starting to think that Snape doesn't know how to act around a young lady. I don't think things would go so well for him legally if he's accused of physically abusing a student.
I don't think Snape's going to get rid of Hermione that easy. I think that book would've driven me to tears of boredom but I guess that's the point of a book to fall asleep by.
That was too funny. I was between horror and fascination when Umbridge was flirting with Severus. I just can't imagine.
Hermione can sure put up with a lot. I think I might have been frightened.
I've always liked drunk Snape. I didn't even think of the possibility that Voldemort could see Snape through Harry's eyes.
This Sirius pov outtake from Promise of a Spring Moon is the fourth Cami/Sirius one-shot in the Lovers' Moon series, following A Dog's Life, Sirius in the Moonlight, and A Moment Like This.
I thought it would be sad to go back to these one-shots after reading the Remus and Tonks novels and having Sirius die all over again, but I was wrong. I continue to enjoy reading about Sirius and his escapades as Snuffles. The thought of him patrolling outside Hogwarts and guarding Harry is still charming. Great story and very well presented. I told Fynn he was in print. He looked excited and wagged his tail:P Sometimes it almost looks like he's grinning:) I think you could call the Volturi both police and bad guys. They set the rules that all of the vampires have to go by. And, they stand ready to enforce those rules. They don't seem to be kind and gentle vampires either. I might go to the movie again on Wednesday. The problem will be that there won't be too many people there so if I snicker at some of the cornier scenes everyone will hear me. Maybe I'll bring my nephew in case a fight breaks out:D
Author's Response:
To me, it's sad when someone loses the one they love, but to die without living life fully, without experiencing an all-consuming love--THAT is the true tragedy of OotP, and why so many writers (including me!) give Sirius a love to make his last days meaningful instead of futile.
I've heard a rumor B says a snicker-worthy line: "Take my soul!" If that's true, you may need your nephew as protection, hee.
Contrary to what Sirius thought, Remus had never been concerned with propriety. He’d been determined to keep strict command over his mind and body...until Nymphadora.
*Remus pov outtake to Promise of a Spring Moon.*
I was thinking what a lucky person I am to have so many wonderful stories to read. This is going to sound crazy but I've been so happy since I've discovered fan fiction. I no longer have to mourn over characters dead and gone because they live on in someone else's world; or someone offers a more satisfying viewpoint or fills in the blanks. On the one hand I hoped that Remus would "get lucky" and on the other hand I also believe in delaying gratification. I would've taken Sirius' comments in a hurtful way, although the comments were directed towards an old friend and they know each other so well--maybe the words hurt less then. Wonderful story.
Author's Response:
I'm the lucky one to have a wonderful person to read my stories! :) I know what you mean about fan fiction. A book tells a story, but what if you're more interested in a secondary character, or wish a certain couple had a different ending? Fan fiction lets you explore all the "what if"s.
Guys have this back and forth razzing thing that's part of the mysteries of male bonding, :D, so Sirius expected Remus would take a joke, not realizing that when you're sensitive about an issue, it's hard to have a sense of humor about it.
Interesting. I think the Dark Lord needs some help in editing:D
I agree--the personal secretary needs to find a new job. i admire how you can come up with the blog responses. I have trouble writing that sort of thing.
I'm beginning to feel sorry for the Dark lord. he seems a little too involved in his blog. He should get out and do things:D
Today is a day of firsts, Remus thought, watching Nymphadora step carefully into the circle of standing stones...He smiled at the woman he loved while his heart leapt at the thought of the most important ‘first’ yet to come.
That was so wonderful. I always cry over weddings, just because they're so beautiful--people have such hopes and dreams. It's even more wonderful when the couple loves each other like Remus and Tonks do. That's not always the case. I also liked that you made them wait through three fics and 60 chapters. I'm misty-eyed. Yes, it's true, B does say "Take my soul." And, I agree that the line is snicker worthy. Another time was when Jacob was leaning in the car door trying to convince Bella to stay and not go after Edward. One of the male chaperones from school was sitting behind me and he said in a very bored voice, "Just let her go." I broke out in chuckles over that one. My nephew is the sort who would make me giggle during the movie just to make a fight break out:P He's a pretty funny character. There was almost a fight in line in front of us on Friday and I know he was itching to break in--his eyes were dancing and I could see his hands twitching. But, he is a good one to have at my back.
Author's Response:
Some weddings you wonder about how deep the feelings go, don't you? It's so warm-and-fuzzy-misty-eyes-wonderful when there's true, deep love.
"Just let her go." HaHa! I would've had to cover my mouth on that one.
Hmmm....will taking your nephew innoculate him against girls like Bella? Or will he, too, fall under her spell like every other male in her vicinity! :D
Wow! I thought I was so clever in guessing that the woman was Narcissa and it wasn't her at all. This just goes to show how similar the two women are and how they relied on Snape to protect their sons when their own husbands couldn't.
"Sirius, I need you to set out at once"...Dumbledore's instructions to alert the old crowd sets Sirius, Remus and Tonks on the road from Goblet of Fire to the Order of the Phoenix.
I actually felt a shadow over my visions of Remus and Tonks' vacation. I chuckled at the thought of Snuffles grabbing discarded swimwear and possibly running off with it. My golden retreiver, Edward, used to dig through dirty laundry and run around the house with someone's underwear. That was when he was a puppy. Although, as he got older he really didn't gain much in dignity. He was quite the ladies' man--he just loved women. I've always thought Grimmauld Place looked like something out of a horror film. The thought of the old gang hanging out at Lily's when the rest of her family was away, and watching old horror movies, also struck me as funny. What would Petunia have thought? Great story.
Author's Response:
Can't blame Edward. Undies do have interesting smells, lol.
Petunia would've been livid. She would've preferred to lurk in a corner pretending to read a novel while sneaking hostile/lustful glances at Sirius. :D
Tonks' world has fallen into shadow. Voldemort has returned, the Order of the Phoenix has risen, and Sirius is slowly drowning in memories and Firewhisky. Tonks needs more than determination to fight the darkness. She needs Remus.
That was a pretty cool chapter. I wonder who was trying to poison Rufus. That ring came in handy. The best part was the "ceremony" or spell. This seems like the perfect solution, in the absence of wolfsbane. I wonder what Remus is going to think. I was caught wondering if I would ever love someone that much again that I would take those sorts of risks for them. For children, of course but for anyone else, I don't know. There's another author on another site that's made much of ancient, blood magic. This was just an amazing chapter.
Author's Response: I'm with Remus about blood magic, not too fond of it (I think Necromancy and get the willies, heh) but Tonks' was a very benign sort, more about love than trying to force a bond against his will. Thank you . . . and you would if the right person came into your life. It's like a litmus test. :)
