But For Oceans Where Feet May Fail by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: She understands what it's like to rail against something you have no control over, how helpless you feel. She's no fourteen-year-old child any longer, and just because you shared one dance a thousand years ago doesn't mean you're in love.

Over the course of seven years Hannah Abbott loses her mother, finds courage, grows up, and watches as two best friends fall in love, all the while the war continues to close in around her and every day promises to be the last.

Slash warning is for Michael/Terry pairing

Savage Relations by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Teddy Lupin has a great life. He is newly married to the love of his life, Victoire Weasley, with a baby on the way. He has a large and devoted - if unorthodox - family who he loves and who loves him. And most important, he has never known the fear and uncertainty of war.

But that all changes in the blink of an eye when he stumbles upon a piece of information that nobody was meant to find. Kidnapped and lost, Teddy will experience first hand what his godfather gave everything over two decades before to keep him from, and he will have to find trust in himself and in those most would label his enemies, as from the outside, the ones he loves race against time and prejudice to face a threat that was long ago foretold.

The Torment Bred in the Race by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It's been twelve years since the Wizarding world saw Harry Potter after he mysteriously disappeared into the Forbidden Forest during the Final Battle in 1998. Now Lord Voldemort has conquered, extending his reach not just over Britain, but France, Germany, and Spain as well.

Meanwhile, hidden deep within the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, a terrifying secret is brewing at the magic school that McGonagall herself founded just after the second battle for Hogwarts. It is at this school where Muggle-born Leah Andrews and her best friends, Gwen and Cory, will find themselves thrown into the search for the truth: What is a dead snake doing hung from a tree like a sacrificial lamb? Who really is the new DADA professor with the strange colour-changing eyes and bad mood swings? And just what does a gentle half-giant gamekeeper have to do with any of this?

One thing is for certain - all is definitely not well.

This is the sequel to Alternate Ending. I strongly recommend you read that one first, although I don't think it's necessary.

Excerpt from the Epilogue:

As he sidestepped them, he glanced down again at the wrinkled slip of parchment Charlie had handed him two days earlier with nothing more than a quiet word that there may still be one last loose end to tie.

The Weekend We Were In Love by paperrose

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: “Victoire …?” The realization that has popped into his head is not a welcome one. Sure he is mistaken, he rubs his tired eyes, but the naked angel on his bed doesn’t go away. “Oh, shit.”

After a drunken night of intimacy together, Teddy and Victoire have some decisions to make regarding their relationship.

I'm Only Me When I'm With You by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The war has been over for four years and everyone is moving on -- except for one. Nobody has heard from Harry Potter since he left after his defeat of Lord Voldemort. But now, in the year 2002, new threats against his life, a wedding between old friends, as well as a secret connection between his past and present will draw Harry out of his self-imposed exile and towards an ending that he long ago gave up upon. It is a journey about love, life, heartbreak, and the long road taken to get back home.

Alternate Ending by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
The prophecy predicted a boy with the power to defeat the Dark Lord; it never promised that he would succeed.

AU. The war against Voldemort is not running smoothly. People are being killed off daily, not to mention that neither Harry Potter nor Lord Voldemort have been heard from in a year. Now it's time for the second Battle of Hogwarts, but the consequences and failures of the first will come back to haunt the old survivors, and seemingly knock the crumbling Wizarding world off of their feet.

Ignores the last couple chapters of DH, including the epilogue (obviously).

This story is the prequel to The Torment Bred in the Race and takes place approximately 12 years before that one.

Sunrise For Hope by paperrose

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: What will become of you all, as you wait in the Room of Requirement day after day, wait for the end, wait for salvation? The answer to that question, it seems, was lost a long time ago.

The end of the war is little more than a faint wish. Hope and the will to love has all but vanished from sight; the will to fight is slowly becoming weaker and weaker. But does that mean that all is lost? Neville desperately needs something stable on which to hold. Will he find a reason to keep living and continue fighting? Or will he give up and leave fate to decide?
