Hi, this is secret_hermoine coming to you with (da, da, da, DUM!) fanfiction! Ok, right now some of you may be thinking, "ha, ha, look, she doesn't even know how to spell Hermione's name!" Truth is, I do. It's h-e-r-m-i-o-n-e. But I spelled it differently because secretly, Hermione is moi. HerMOIne. Ok, so she's not, but I wish she was, thus my penname.

Now before I get started, let's lay down some ground rules, pet peeves, etc. etc.

I really hate it when authors incessantly beg their readers for reviews. Even if I want to leave a review, review begging just takes it all out of me.

I also hate it when authors ramble on and on with lengthy, cutesy disclaimers about how they are not JKR. Short and sweet does it.

Ok, third and last pet peeve: Old English. I grew up around Shakespeare, and I can speak in Old English as well as I can in normal English. Most people don't have a clue as to what Old English really is, except that it has “thee” and “thou” and "eth" on the ends of words. But it’s a lot more complicated than that and when you use “thee” or “thou” or in what situation you use "eth" and lots of other things make a big difference. If you don't know what you're doing with Old English, don't bother. It can turn an ok story into a really bad one really fast.

Now on the rules and regulations of my writing.

So I know that this will annoy some of you, but yes, I do write cliffhangers, and no I will not apologize for them. As far as I am concerned, cliffhangers are a necessary part of good fiction.

Sorry, but I write short chapters. I try to keep them over 1,000 words, but I won't be giving you amazing, huge, 3,000 or 4,000 word chapters.

I specialize in expanding on quotes, or taking a situation that exists in the books and changing it into a new story. I don't do a whole lot of completely original stories.

Every story I write will be completely and absolutely finished before I post the first chapter on MuggleNet, so chapter update delays are the time in the queues, but there will be longer times between new stories being posted.

Ok, now a little about me as far as HP fanfiction goes.

I have a long-term goal to write at least one story for every category and subcategory on MuggleNet FanFiction (except Audiofictions and completed Challenges). It may take a while, but that's why I'm going to keep switching categories, to see where I really fit in.

I ship Harmony, even though I know that it's not cannon, and although I'm not a big Dramione shipper, I do enjoy a good one sometimes.

Enjoy!

Hermione isn't the girl she was. It's the beginning of Fourth Year for the trio, but something's wrong. As Hermione considers the past and buries herself in the increasingly dark cavern of her mind, things spiral out of control and take a drastic turn for the worse.
