A/N: This poem was written for a Secret Santa, and thought that I might as well post it here! I hope you like it!

Looking at her red hair,
And her beautiful smile,
I realize that I am in love with her,
And that I’ll have to go the extra mile.

She’s no ordinary girl; I know that for a fact.
She’s different than all the other girls,
There isn’t a thing she has ever lacked.

I’m falling head over heels for her,
But there is one problem.
She won’t even look at me,
Much less give me a chance.
She hates my guts, and
She stated it clearly,
When I once asked her for a dance.

Wait, here she comes now.
I know she’ll never agree,
But it’s worth a shot,
Even though she’ll probably just ignore me.

I can’t believe the nerve he has,
To ask me out again!
I told him that I never wanted to talk to him.
Apparently, he didn’t understand.

He is such an arrogant prat,
That never regards the rules.
He has never shown a bit of respect for me,
Or anyone else in the school.

He’s an egotistical jerk,
Or at least, that’s how I see it.
He…he…
Oh, God! What am I saying?

So what if he is popular?
So what if he is rich?
It doesn’t attract me,
Not one tiny bit!
So what if he has always liked me,
And never changed his mind?
So what if he’s a little bit attractive,
And is pretty much always kind?
So what if he likes me enough,
To hex one of his best friends?
So what if I like him,
Just a little, tiny bit?

Maybe he isn’t all that bad;
Maybe I should say yes.
Just this one time, though.
And he shouldn’t expect a kiss.
After all, its only one date,
And I haven’t made any kind of promise.
