Chapter Notes: This poem is about the mythical creature that inspired a magical device. Enjoy.
Oh little Scrooler, how you sing,
You are to me a pretty thing,
You sit beneath the cloudy sky,
And hum a song both low and high.

I sit here on my balcony,
And wonder what it is to be,
For none but little Scrooler knows,
What lies beyond the highs and lows.

To watch the world from a far off place,
And see no life, no friend, no face,
But hum and feel the fates who weave,
The highs and lows that we’ll receive.

Oh little Scrooler, Sneakoscope,
You warn me when I do provoke,
And save me from some further harm,
With your low and high alarm.

For this I thank you my dear friend,
And even when your song does end,
You’ll stay with me, here by my side,
Together we will watch the tide,

As the world turns we will go,
And see the lake rise high – fall low.
