Hemlock and castor
I will brew,
With bile of toad
And sap of yew.
This awful potion will seep strength,
Disturb and cloud the mind at length -
Deter and punish hapless drinkers.
As well, it’ll cripple me,
Who with this potion tinkers.
Prolong the agony for hours
Will dreamy sage’s evil powers,
And since sweet Reaper dittany delays,
Their broken minds will ache for days.
Until the master finds them to dispose
Of what the eyes had seen and froze.
With bile of toad and sap of yew
I poached, collected in the dew
In waning moon,
When jackals chide
And foxes hide,
In shadows’ trembling whiskers.
When sun will rise
Will my demise
Catch up and strangle
What was left
Of happiness and faith.
Insanity and pain
Shall guard my master’s secrets.
