Today I Do Not Want To Be Minister
Today I do not want to be the Minister-
The evil are secretly attacking;
The good are secretly hiding;
The Chosen One is not chosen.
A mist of confusion has fallen;
Unnatural disasters commence regularly;
Bridges are collapsing, true to the nursery rhyme.
The hospitals are overflowing with death;
Blood on both sides of the magical spectrum
Is swiftly being spilt;
Prisoners have broken free and return
Loyally to their old ways.
And today, I no longer wish to be Minister-
Hope has evaporated into unseen clouds;
Faith has withered with the mounting corpses;
A blind eye can no longer be turned.
Resignation is in the near future
For the power I hold is but a sitting duck,
Leaving my world to crumble quickly.
