Current WIP:
-Soleil Sanglant (Dark/Angsty)- I know I said I'd continue this right after the holidays, but....RL has taken over (as it unfortunately tends to do from time to time). I am writing, but I also have to type it up, which is a feat in itself, between my nearly illegible scrawls and cross-outs and my endless mistakes. I have very little time in which to do this, so I am extending the hiatus (which, again, does not mean I have stopped writing) until...mid-February, give or take. I don't anticipate it lasting this long, but it may, what with my insane schedule, which of course is my own fault.

The gorgeous banner is by Fresca/Colores- I truly cannot thank her enough. Isn't it just lovely? *squees*

Other WIPs:
-My Sweetest Downfall (Dramione)- Ok, I haven't started writing this, but I've been fleshing out the OC some. Once Soleil Sanglant is finished, I will devote all my free time (hah) and energy to this. It's going to be loosely based on Jane Eyre, one of my absolute favorite books. I've been positively itching to sit down and write it; I'm very excited about it.

-General Mystery Fic (no title as of yet)- I've got some basic ideas down- nothing remotely resembling a plot yet. Although I have no idea where I'm taking this, there's a lot of potential and plenty to work with. This will be a good deal more complicated than the others, so you can imagine how long it'll take me.

-The Sisters Black (Black sisters-centric trilogy, most likely romance)- This particular plotbunny is comatose at the moment- it's just there. I won't even begin to think about this until I've got everything else done. Read: very, very, VERY, impossibly foggy, distant future.

I'm sorry for the incredibly boring bio- I am absolutely terrible with this sort of thing! One of these days I'll make an attempt at appearing at least somewhat interesting...

A Little Lighter Than Black by kritchen

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: From the ancient and noble house of Black to the obscurity of being Muggleborn, seventh year just promised to be another school year, although their last. Andromeda is testing her boundaries and the limits placed upon her. She's rebelling a bit from the ideals that she was brought up with. Ted is just living in the moment, still trying to decide what he wants to be. Fighting with habitual messiness and lack of organization, the cheerful, happy-go-lucky Hufflepuff soon finds himself in the midst of something he hadn't expected. Two unlikely characters, a spark of life, and the awkwardness of repeated encounters leads to more than they expected out of their seventh year.

I'm sorry for the long wait for the next chapter. It's finally finished. I graduated high school in 2010 and then entered college. It was quite a stressful time and quite the transition. I also lost the chapter once when my computer crashed. I had struggled with it for so long (writer's block) and when it was almost done, there it went into technological oblivion. I was so frustrated, I couldn't bring myself to try rewriting it until recently.
