Second Chances by GryffindorGoddess

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Severus, Lily and James have been reincarnated ... born again into this life as Severn, Lillian and Jamie. The unresolved passions in their previous lives has drawn them together once more. Will Severn win Lillian this time or will Fate play out the same way again? (Rated 3rd-5th years but could change later in the story.)

Date: 01/22/08 Title: Chapter 3: Letters

Aww...! I wait and wait for another chapter and now I'm so sad because of Jamie and Severn...! *wipes eyes on sleeve*

Author's Response: Isn\'t it just so sad what happened between them? They might have patched things up if they weren\'t such....BOYS! I fear there\'s no hope for their friendship now. =/ Hopefully the story will still be interesting. :) Thanks for the review! ~GG

Chocolate by Everlasting

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It’s Christmas time at Hogwarts and the snow creates the illusion of perfection. Sirius has always admired Remus, but now it’s time to see if these feelings are requited.

AWW!!! Love this!!!! Remus/Sirius = best ever. So sweet. I could tell from the title it would be sweet (haha, pun). :)

Friends, Funerals… and Fred by FinnFiona

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

[Final warning: DH spoilers follow.] Three days after the final battle of Hogwarts, Harry must begin the painful task of attending the many funerals of the fallen. The first is perhaps the hardest, and Harry is focused on helping the Weasley family make it through the day—but maybe he still has a few things left to learn himself.

Author’s Note: I’ve read many a good story on the death of Fred Weasley, of whom I have always been very fond. Yet I think I needed to write my own version for that extra bit of closure. I hope you all enjoy, and maybe even experience a touch of catharsis yourselves. And as always, please leave a review! They're a huge help, and will all receive responses.

Wow...that was amazing. Wow wow wow wow wow. That is EXACTLY how I would imagine it played out in the alternate reality that is Harry's world. Sad, sad, sad. I loved Fred...and everyone misses him...Poor George especially. This is really quite excellent, truthfully and skillfully written.

Author's Response: Thank you for your compliments--I\'m blushing :) I miss Fred as well, just had to write a little tribute to him... Thanks again!

Open and Close by lilyevans489

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The feud between Slytherin and Gryffindor has broken many friendships. But only two have changed wizarding history.

Godric and Salazar.

Lily and Severus.

Date: 12/24/07 Title: Chapter 1: Open and Close

I love it! This is really interesting, how you interspersed the quotes with the short, fragmented sentences. I could imagine all the quotes in my mind...nice!

Author's Response: So many peple like it..... Yay! Thank you! I\'m telling you, it was hard to find quotes that fit. I think that one of the most happy moments of Lily\'s life (Harry\'s Birth) would have a huge cloud hanging over it. She thought that she was safe, because Neville was born on the 30th, but then she gives birth just before she can get out of July. But i\'m just rambling again...

Flaw by harrypotterfangirl21

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Perfection isn't always what we see in the mirror.
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 01/04/08 Title: Chapter 1: Flaw

This was short, as you say, but I much enjoyed it. Nicely written. Though, I have to say, I would never had guessed it was Hermione's POV had you not said so-- I thought it had something to do with the magic mirrors between Aberforth and Harry and Sirius and James or the Mirror of Erised or something.

Author's Response: Yeah, it could be the Mirror of Erised or the magic mirrors . . . I just thought of Hermione. *shrugs*

Thanks for the review, though, and I\'m glad you thought this was nicely written! *flies away*

Between Heaven and Earth by BlackClaude

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Fred and George find themselves between worlds in this retelling of the Castor and Pollux myth.

Written for Nan for the SPEW Halloween Exchange

What an interesting idea!!! So sad, and a little off beat and a little funny at times (an entire ox!)--overall excellent. Very sad.

James or the Giant Squid? by x_GinnyPotter_x

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lily's infamous preference for the Giant Squid over James Potter leads to a promise she just might regret. Be careful what you say, otherwise your friends may make you eat your words!
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 01/31/08 Title: Chapter 1: James or the Giant Squid?

Lol! This was great. :) Very original plot line, well carried out. It was odd, I was reading the title and I was thinking, hmm, where have I heard this before....? And then I realized: James and the Giant Peach! Yay! (did you intend that?)

Author's Response: Yay, someone caught it! haha yes, I realized James and the Giant Peach was only two word different than James or the Giant Squid, and I thought it had a nice ring to it :)

The Marauders by Lyra Lestrange

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Remus, Peter, Sirius, and James were best friends, but this didn't last forever. The story of the Marauder's summed up in a poem...
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 01/21/08 Title: Chapter 1: The Marauders

Now this is interesting! I like the rhyming, because it brought to mind the Sorting Hat's Song (at least for me), the same ABCB pattern, y'know? The Marauders are my favorite subject to write about, so yay!

Just a few things...
When you say:
"Sirius escaped Azkaban
To get revenge on Wormtail.
He knew exactly where he was:
Hogwarts school, he was there."

I'm sorry, but that doesn't rhyme. It kind of threw me off. Maybe the last line of the stanza could be something like "to Hogwarts School led his trail" ? Just a suggestion.
And then... When you said:

"Sirius, while dueling with
His cousin Bellatrix
Fell through the veil and to his death
With no way to unfix."

This is just a minor detail, but how do you unfix something? Wouldn't they want to fix it instead? Just a tidbit.

Good job!

Author's Response: Yeah, I did have some trouble with the rhymes. The \'unfix\' part was the best I could come up with at the time, but I think I\'ll change that to \'fix.\' I hadn\'t thought of that. Thanks!

Side Effects by Elmindreda

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: There is something Severus needs to take care of before heading to the staff room on Christmas Eve.

A Christmas one-shot.

Warnings: unseasonal sarcasm resulting in the mention of suicidal tendencies as part of a psychological portrait.
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 05/26/08 Title: Chapter 1: Thirty Minutes

Hmm...I don't know if it's safe to laugh or not...but that last line sort of made me want to. But it was sad, too. Sev's daydream: young and together with Lily, a Lily Junior expected. So sad! You are an excellent writer, and I couldn't find a single error. Great!

Author's Response: That is a frequent case with writing Severus - not knowing whether to laugh or cry and wishing to do both. His sarcasm is his armor, as he would not admit his pain even to himself except in such roundabout self-mockery. *sigh*

Thank you for the review!

First Comes Friendship by social loner

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Seamus and Dean have been friends since they were eleven. They're basically joined at the hip! But what happens when Seamus has a secret? A secret he's been hiding since forth year? Now that the two boys are in their seventh and final year, Seamus is finding it harder and harder to keep his secret from Dean. But what would Dean think? There was no way that Dean saw their friendship as Seamus did. But one thought keeps penetrating Seamus' head: friendship always comes before love.

Date: 01/31/08 Title: Chapter 1: Of Boys, Girls, and Non-Friendly Feelings

Yay! I love slash when it's well done, which this is. Interesting, too; I've never read a Seamus/Dean before. :) Please update!

P.S. I looked on your author page for more, and what did I find but a banner about ROWING!!! YES!!! Best sport ever! (I'm a coxswain-sized rower; it's odd.)

Author's Response: Yes! A fellow rower! And I\'m coxswain-sized too, but I row a single scull. Imagine that! Rowing is the best sport ever, but I usually find myself loosing my voice after a while from cursing all the motor boats that decide to drive right up next to me. Seriously, the waves those thing make can flip a a single! Ok, now I\'m rambling. Thank you so much for the review! I really appreciate it. -Olivia

Oh, this is wonderful! I think your characterisation is perfect, and I'm very excited to see what comes next!! Please update!

Angela by Phia Phoenix

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Written around the lyrics to Angela by Missy Higgins, this one-shot explores a few "what if" questions: what if the places were reversed and it was Lily whose feelings for James were unrequited, what if Sirius had a sister and what if she happened to be Hogwart's very own Mean Girl? Well, if you feel like some light reading, try this story!

YAY!!! That was sooooo good! Wow, I have never liked an AU before, but this has been added to my very selective Favorites list!!! I love Lily/James, but sometimes it can get kind of old reading the same old thing, and this was very refreshing with the roles reversed, as well as the jealousy element thrown in. Great plot, well written... all around, a treat!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks Rhi! What an awesome first review! I\'m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for favouriting!

Not All Stories Have a Happy Ending by Lyra Lestrange

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Eleven-year-old Teddy Lupin is having a bad day when he wanders into the Forbidden Forest. There a strange event happens and he meets people he never thought he would see...

Do not read if you have not read Deathly Hallows!
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 02/01/08 Title: Chapter 1: Not All Stories Have a Happy Ending

What an original idea for a story! Recently I've read so many classic Lily/James along the lines of "oh, he's a prat; but wait, now I like him and then we hook up!" so this was pleasantly refreshing. Poor Teddy Lupin. Nice job, though.

Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you like it and thought it was original!

Ooh! This is a very original idea!! (Who's the mother??! lol) I was totally surprised when he asked "Where are the Potters?"... and then I remembered Harry and Ginny. Will the cycle of violence continue??? Please continue!

Author's Response: Wow, I just found out that my story was validated, and so I got onto my account and I already have a review! I will be posting chapter one soon. And thanks for being my first reviewer!

OMG!!!! No words to explain this!!!! This is so beautiful, and sweet, and sad, and hopeful!!!!!! Best one-shot I have ever read, and probably ever will read. LOVED IT!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, you\'ve very kind. :)

I loved this. You are an excellent poet. Did you have any particular character PoV in mind? Voldemort...even Dumbledore or Harry maybe? I don't know; what were you thinking?

Author's Response: *smile* *points down*

The Death Eater's Heir by Ironic Inspiration

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: (Fifth Year) When Professor Snape starts doubting the trust Voldemort has in him while he works as a spy, he has to start thinking about the consequences - his daughter. He has feared that she would befriend Harry Potter, but he never imagined them being inseparable, finding a love that no one thought could exist between a Potter and a Snape. Snape has a daughter?!!! Well, certainly a compelling start! Poor Harry being caught an eavesdropper--that would be awful.

Before the Sunrise by Roxy Black

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: On the night before her wedding to James, Lily wakes up with icy feet. So when a ghost from her past shows up out of the blue, what can she do but wait for the sun to rise?
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 01/28/08 Title: Chapter 1: Before the Sunrise

Wow... this is pretty passionate! I love the whole Snape- Lily- James dynamic, and this is interesting. Poor Snape. But he kind of brought it on himself, didn't he? Hmm.... he's one of my favorite characters, just 'cuz he's so complicated. Good? Evil? Pitiable? I love mulling it over: does his love for Lily redeem him? Does the good he does after her death redeem him? I really don't know.

Wow, this is really really good. Very moving. Interesting idea, as well, to tie the story with the idea of "why do we wear black to funerals?". Well done.

Rain by ravenclawslostdiadem

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Andromeda Black had always been different, and that got worse when she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Shunned from her family, she leans on a boy named Ted Tonks for support. *ONESHOT*
Reviewer: Rhi for HP Signed
Date: 02/02/08 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Aww... so sweet. Nice job! Interesting too, because I never once stopped to wonder what it might have been like for Andromeda, who was actually a decent person, to live with the Blacks.

Author's Response: Thanks so much, I figured most people didn\'t and this just flowed, it you know what I mean.
