The Dream Game by Kiley

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Remus and Tonks are as different as a wizard and witch can be. But in their dreams, they have more in common than they could ever have imagined.

Oh, this is so cute! The ending is just perfect as well. What really cinches it for me is the originality of the plot. I love the idea of them seeing their shared dream in each others' minds in a very wizardish way. Great!

Author's Response: Thanks! I was in the mood to write something light, and thought it would be fun to come up with a wizard\'s variation on the old playing-footsie-under-the-table-at-a-crowded-restaurant thing.

The Boy in Row Three by ink_daughter

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A child in Harry's class at primary school ponders why he seems so withdrawn.

Aww, this is cute! I like the simple rhyme and this is an interesting idea (we never see anything about Harry in primary school!). I really enjoyed it. :)

Author's Response: I'm glad that you did! I love getting reviews for this story.

Growing Pains by starscribe

Yay!! I'm so happy for you--first chapter up! One of my top five best fanfics EVER. You are amazing! Listen up, people--watch out for this author, because just when you think she's produced a perfect chapter, she writes the next one and it's even better.

The Marauder's Map... In The Wrong Hands! by Sainyn Swiftfoot

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: In the dead of the night, someone steals Harry's Marauder's Map.

What happens?

Insanity, hilarity and catastrophe, of course! (This wouldn't be a humour story if it didn't, would it?)

As different people try to activate the Marauder's Map, the four infamous Marauders answer back, in their own wonderful style.

Hi BB! I remember reading an excerpt from this ages ago in the EoM thread (back when I frequented there...). At the time I was tickled to laughter and I didn't forget it... when I saw it was up I was so excited! It's just as good as I remember it--hilarious! I'd love to see more (I promise to lather compliments as thickly on subsequent chapters! ;) ). Highly enjoyable. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked *what's there of* the story... :)

You're going to regret saying that... Muahahaha!

Elvendork by mrsmcclnt

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

“I know you love her.”

“I know, but…” James head leaned hard into his as he tried to explain. “That night when was I with her, as much as I planned it out to do it, it didn’t feel right. I knew I couldn’t go through with it unless….” he sighed. James looked back into Sirius eyes, knowing that Padfoot could finish his sentence.

For the longest time, Sirius Black was content with his friendship with James.

But soon he came to realize that there was something more he was feeling as he watched his friend fall in love with someone else.

OMS, I loved this!! Thank you so much, Marsha! It was cute and funny and sincere. It was great how you managed to fit it so perfectly into JKR's prologue, too. I had wondered about their t-shirts and the police chasing them. I like it too how at the end Sirius doesn't get burned. And I love how you worked with the Lily/James/Sirius dynamic. It's realistic. Thank you so much for being the best secret swapper ever! *huggles*

Author's Response: ***huggles***

I'm glad you liked it!!

With the Gauntlet and all, I didn't have time to get it to you by the deadline. And I didn't want to do a half job of writing, so I waited till the Gauntlet was over to write this the way you wanted it.

Reciprocation by LD Noble

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily and James Potter were the victims of one of the most famous tragedies in the wizarding world. But what about their lives before them? What happened in the adolescence of two not-so-ordinary teenagers, living not-so-ordinary lives? This is a story of good, of evil, and of everything in between. But mostly, this is a story of love, and how James Potter, in the middle of a tumultuous war, won the heart of the reluctant Lily Evans.

Nice beginning! Lily/James is a great ship, and this is a really promising story. You have a nice, fluid writing style. I just have a few questions: why is Lily alone at the train station (wouldn't her parents want to see her off)? And also, I have to wonder if Dumbledore would really let Death Eaters come so close to his students! Oh well.

["I saw them, he said] --there should be an ending quotation mark there.

Great job! Looking forward to reading more. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much - this is exactly the kind of feedback I love. I'll try and fix that right away! :) Also, I explain a bit about the Dumbledore issue in the next chapter, though the idea of Lily's parents had totally slipped my mind.

What You Mean To Me by Roxy Black

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A short, ambiguous poem. Take from it what you wish.

Oh, this is beautiful! This is so sad: I see it as the breakup. I think we've all had those moments of "I wish I'd said something to make them stay...". I love the line about stirring coffee. It's only a few words but it sets the scenery for me; I instantly see a small cafe, and a girl sitting at a little table outside. Beautifully done--you really captured the passion of the moment!

Rebel Stars by Mistletoe

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: In which Remus considers his feelings and hesitations as he once again steals away on a nightly rendezvous with Sirius.

Oh Kat, this was wonderful! This has to be one of the best R/S's I've ever read. Your language is so beautiful, it touches me somewhere deep inside. There's something quite heartbreaking about this, even though it has a somewhat happy ending. And you pulled off the second-person perfectly, and I loved that you decided to use it because it just adds so much charm and interest. Such a beautiful little piece. My only question: Why did you decide to rate this 6th-7th years? Anyway, great job, I loved every second of it!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks, Rhi! I'm glad you liked it :) It's the only second person I have published. As for the rating, it could have been 3rd-5th, but I felt the ending was a bit heavier than what I usually rate 3rd-5th years, so I was just cautious. I've never been able to choose my ratings well >.<
