I'm 30 years old, married and an avid reader.

I love Fantasy books. Some of my favorite Authors include JKR, David Eddings, Tad Williams, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Elizabeth Hayden, and Robert Jordan.

I have a twin sister that betas for me. We have always been best friends and I hope we will stay that way.

I have found a great fondness for taking Hapkido. I'm currently a purple belt, and really having fun since I have gotten my twin, Step-sister, and husband to start coming to class with me. I also have a few other massage therapists from my office that come.

My favorite Animals are penguins. I also have a thing for cats, which led to me writing my first story, Switched.

My first Child was born in June. She is totally amazing, and I can't wait until she is old enough to share Harry with.

Lacrima Serpentis by Insecurity

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: This story is set in the dystopian society of Wizarding England under the control of Voldemort. Fifteen years after leaving Hogwarts, Harry Potter is in hiding; he fears the words of the Prophecy and has lost the will to fight. This story tells the tale of an adult Hermione who sacrifices everything: her family, her moral beliefs and eventually her dignity, in order to save the Wizarding world. She becomes a Death Eater under the recommendation of someone she barely trusts. She struggles to find the courage and strength, but with every choice she makes she gets deeper and deeper into danger.

Chapter 33 is finally up. Thank you for your support and patience..

I know that this chapter was a filler, but I really like it. For the first time you get a feeling for what her years away from the Wizarding world was. You a feeling for what drove her back. You get a glimpse into what she is missing by going back. I like knowing that! :)

Author's Response: Thank you very much. This chapter has been in my head for about three months but I've never found an appropriate spot to slip it in until now, and I did cut down on a lot of it (not sure why!) I hope you enjoy the next one, it has another OC in it who walked into my mind only a couple of days ago and insisted on being written.

This chapte opens up so many possiblities. The inner circle going after the crown would wreck havoc! That Snape has to brew the poison is very interesting. I like Bob, just like I like Joe. I hope that they are able to help Hermione. Having the men controlled by something in the beer is also interesting. It makes total sense. Few men never have a drink, and if there is something in it that helps control them and makes it more addictive really explains things. I look forward to what Bob has to tell Hermione about Snape. I know it is hearsay, but it is still information.

Author's Response: *whispers* I haven't quite decided what he is going to say yet. All I know is, it will be good. hehe.
The beer idea came to me in a flash of inspiration! Miss C, my wonderful English teacher, told us for our First World War Poetry topic that many men came back alcoholics from the war... and I just thought 'yes! What an ingenius idea!' lol. Thanks for the review - it has cheered me up because I've been down all day.

I am so glad that Hermione is able to be part of the battle. I think she needs it for her peace of mind. I hope that Fred is able to wake up and do more for their cause. I look forward to see how they ultimately face Voldemort.

Author's Response: Oh my... I haven\'t replied to my \'fanmail\' in a while! Thanks for your support throughout this story. The next (and last *weeps*) chapter is a little different to the rest. I\'ve just finished it so it will be with you soon.

I like this chapter. We haven't been able to see much interaction between Harry and Hermione. Having them do the memories together should be very interesting. They have had a lot of different experiences in the past few years. Hermione had her family, and Harry had his dreadful experience of living in exile. It would be interesting to see what Fred and Ron could possibley contribute to the memories. Why should it just be Hermione and Harry. The Weasley's would have a lot of great family things to show, and could show the contrast of losing them. Snape was once again his "wonderful" self. LOL. I look forward to the next chapter also!

Author's Response: Hehe. I am not going to show all the memories in the pensive just yet... I think I'll save that till later for maximum impact on my readers *sniggers* Ron and Fred to contribute, but I wanted it to be a Harry/Hermione moment... because those two need to work together now and patch things up. I wrote Prodigal Son with Lacrima in mind, as a way of showing how Ron's family died in the fire. *Nudges Cheshlin towards the one-shot* Snape was his wonderful self as always, hehe. I'm not sure how to play him in the next few chapters... I think snarky and miserable for a bit.

A dark and painful Chapter, but hopefully Hermione's actions do what they were supposed to do. I also hope that Neville is really ok. I knew that he'd show up too! Seeing Snape as the rescuer was very different, but nice in this story.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review, certainly interesting to see your view on things. Snape will have to play the rescuer role for a while but then.... hehe. I have two endings in my head and I have yet to decide which one I will use. I may write them both and see which one works.

I was really happy to see this finally updated! I'm glad that unpoisoning the beer went well. I was worried that somehow Draco would be able to stop them. Poor Hermione is almost at her breaking point. I'm glad that Snape will try to help her find some peace before the day that really matters. I just hope it isn't his way of keeping her from being there. I haven't figured out which side he is on. He seems to be on the same side as her, but enough of his actions still point the other way. I look forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Oooooh. Thank you. You'll have to read on to find out whether he is or not. I have a few suprises in store... don't you worry.

I'm actually impressed that Lucius gave her the chance to protect herself. It is hard to know how much of what he told her is the truth. He doesn't owe her the truth, so it is very hard to say how much he told her that was real. I'm surprised Hermione was actually able to do the killing curse, even if it was unintentional. I wouldn't picture that. I look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: *nods* I was debating over her using the killing curse myself, but I think when a person is *that* cruel they can tip them over the edge. She loved Severus and Lucius really destroyed that love in the most heartless way. And he likes to play with her... by refusing to fight she was refusing to play his game... I thought him just killing her would be too easy. Thanks for the review.

Hm, a wand that can think for itself. That is a very interesting idea. I hope that Hermione's is more good then evil, though they seem to be more evil then good. You never know when something like that can turn on you! Some very interesting things are happening. I hope that things go good for the good guys!

Author's Response: The wand is a power that can work either way... if Hermione choses to use it wrongly, it will become corrupted and so will turn evil on her. But, if she uses it wisely and only with good intentions, she won't have that problem. It is always good to have the good guys winning. I'm going to focus my next few chapters on the good guys' attempts at winning.

I like this chapter. Hermione's strength to face her friends alone was great. Snape being there would have caused them to not listen to her. I'm glad that Fred and Harry gave her the chance to explain all that happened. I also liked Ron's reactions. It seems that Hermione's madness might be touching on his, to pull them both back to sanity.

Author's Response: Thank you, once again! Yes, in many ways I wanted to remedy Ron's madness a little and by doing this appease Hermione's own fraught spirit. I realised that not everything can go bad for her. I first was going to make Harry very angry but then I realised that Harry is an understanding person, he has faced death as a teenager and so can cope with it as an adult. By having them forgive her, she may finally allow herself some peace.

That was a nice chapter. It is very cool to see Hermione and Snape relaxing a bit. I'm also glad that Severus managed to find some of the comforts that she really said she could use. That was really touching of him. Him offering to share his past a little bit of a surprise, too bad she didn't take him up on the offer. I look forward to the next chapter. At least she should have a very comfortable and good nights sleep before the battle begins.

Author's Response: Arwwww. Thanks. It is nice to see you caring so much about Sevvy and Mione\'s welfare! Severus, at the moment feels the need to \'confess his sins\' to Hermione... he has a bit of a guilty conscience and, whilst he\'s not trying to put things right, he is wanting to get himself prepared for the battle. There will be lots of answers revealed in the next chapter.

This story is moving onward. The arguement did show how vunerable both of them are to each other. Neither totally knows the other, and neither totally trusts the other. I'm glad that Hermione could give Lupin some rest. It sounds like he really needs it!! That is one special wand, but wands do different things for different people. I look forward to see where this story is going!!

Author's Response: Yes, wands do tend to react differently depending on who is using it *sneaky grin* I think Hermione has come to the point where she needs to know more about Snape, but is he willing to tell her more? Glad your enjoying, over the Xmas holidays I will try my best to do some "rounding up" chapters ready for the big finale.

Thanks for the Christmas gift! I hope that you have a very happy Birthday also! That was a nice chapter. Having Fred finally back down and offer Hermione friendship again is nice. Poor Colin. In the wrong place at the wrong time. It is good to know that it wasn't totally Snape that betrayed him. I see some hope for Snape yet (in this story anyhow). I am totally enjoying this story, though it is totally different from the types I normally read. I'm usually for the Harry wins and such stories. I even started one from Crookshanks POV, if I can get people to read it (and especially review). Thanks for the great story. I look forward to the next installment after the holidays.

Author's Response: Crookshanks POV? I will read it! I am a big cat-lover, hehe. I am glad you're keeping with it. Things have been very bleak lately but I'm now 1 and a half chapters ahead of you and things aren't quite so bad... not quite... and it's roughly 6 chapters off the end!!!! Thank you for your continuel support.

I like the feel of this chapter. There has been so much sad and conflicting things going on recently, that the lightness of this chapter really helped. Wow, Hermione having Snapes baby....very interesting. I hope that the order opens back up to her. :( I understand why she is alienated, but still....They are totally misjudging her. That is what makes a good story though....conflict and original storylines.

I like Joe! I can't wait to get to know him a little more. I hope that he is as trustworthy as he seems. I also like the ideas that he helped Hermione come to. It should make the next few chapters pretty entertaining!! :)

Author's Response: Lol.... I love Joe, he's my nice-guy likeable OC. He's going to come into it a little bit more, seeing as he is wonderfully co-operative and allows me to write him so easily, unlike two other characters in the story *frowns at Hermione and Snape* The next chapter is a mind-boggler... I hope you understand it all.

I can't believe that Hermione is dead! I saw it coming, but it is still very sad. I'm glad that Severus is still alive. One of them has to be around to raise their daughter. It was AWESOME when Remus came in. I was so hoping that he would finally be able to have some peace. Thank you for such a wonderful story! I have loved following it. I am content with the ending, though sad she died.

That was another great Chapter! I hope that Hermione is able to pull her plan off. She has sooooo many things that could go wrong ahead of her. I look forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Sooooo many things could go wrong. Thank you very much. Don't worry - it isn't going to be easy but it isn't going to impossible either.

I think this chapter was very intrigueing. Harry letting Hermione have her word of fairwell was great. It really shows that he really believes she didn't do any harm on purpose. Ron's state of mind really goes with everything you have been writing. I understand his pain when he sees Hermione kiss Snape. Snape is still very interesting. I feel he has really come to have feelings for Hermione and seeing him at Dumbledore's grave shows some of his character. I am still looking forward to reading more. This story is very different from so many of the other stories here. That is what keeps me reading.

Author's Response: Thank you for another very insightful review. It was a tough chapter, lol.

Good to see the story updated. The Legimens lesson was fun to read. I would have thought Hermione would have at least begun to fight the Imperius Curse though. I'm not sure.

Author's Response: Yehhh, possibly. She's got a very weak spirit at the moment, her defence was down and so she was easy prey for Malfoy. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Wow. That went a little better then I thought. Poor Colin!! He deserved better. I hope that Snape can totally explain his betrayal. I also can't believe that Colin gave away Grimmauld place. I hope that the spell on it keeps Voldemort from getting there though. This story is still very intrigueing.
