Hello everyone who is reading this. I haven't written on this site for almost five years, but I see that new people are still coming and reading some of my fics occasionally. I want to thank everyone who is or has been reading my work. I was only around thirteen when I started writing fanfiction, and now nineteen and pursuing an English degree in college, you people are my inspiration. I love you all. Thanks for the support.

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Summary: Fifteen-year-old Harry Potter wakes up in his cupboard under the stairs at number four, Privet Drive with no memory of the past five years of his life. What happened to his memory? What do his strange dreams mean? And most importantly, how will he survive in a school for incurably criminal boys?
This is primarily a mystery, with a bit of shippiness thrown in here and there. Of course, if I told you WHO is involved in the shippiness, that would ruin part of the mystery, wouldn’t it?
This story takes place immediately after OotP (and thus disregards HBP).

A Destiny in Time by Gmariam
Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Summary: Harry Potter has fulfilled his destiny, and survived his final confrontation with Voldemort; the Dark Lord has been vanquished, but at a terrible price. Dozens are dead, including some of those closest to Harry, and he blames only himself for failing them. Desperate, he returns to Hogwarts hoping to change what has happened and save those he loves. In doing so he unknowingly saves himself, but the consequences require great sacrifice.
This short story is now complete. It begins on the battlefield just after Harry’s duel with Voldemort, and follows Harry as he tries desperately to right the mistakes of the past, only to rewrite his own future.
Date: 06/03/07 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter Six: Farewell
Well, that was a very good story! Now, it's sorta weird, because I just stumbled across this fic when I was browsing the site, and surprisingly, it's sort of similar to a fic I'm currently writing. It involves Harry going back in time to try and save his parents, Sirius, and Dumbledore. If you like that sort of thing, you should check it out...it's called "Changing the Past". So, anyway, kudos on a great fic; good work!

Harry Potter has rejoined the Wizarding world after a year-long absence, but still has no memory of his time at Hogwarts. Will he ever get his memory back? Will he be able to pass his classes without it? And most importantly, will he ever be able to defeat Lord Voldemort? Read on as the last of the mysteries introduced in A Stolen Past are finally revealed.
This is a story of friendship and mystery, with a healthy dose of H/G thrown in for good measure.

Good news! I found a mistake in punctuation in this chapter. Yes, that is good news. You want to know why? Because it's the first mistake I've found in the whole story so far. I must say, you are very good at punctuation and grammar. Do you beta-read, by any chance?

Well, I must stop my two-hour streak of reading this and the prequel here momentarily to say...this story is great! I think you write the characters very well, and you're style resembles JKR's a bit. Actually, the events described here would be exactly how I would imagine if Umbridge had actually managed to wipe Harry's memory.
I'm also assuming this was written pre-HBP...? No matter...very good so far! Well, back to reading...
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I really appreciate your comments. I actually wrote this story after HBP came out, but the plot wouldn\'t have worked in a post-HBP universe. The result is that I ignored HBP, and what should have been Harry\'s sixth year was spent at St. Brutus\'s.

Wow...I mean, wow. I'm not saying this because of shock, but because this is EXACTLY how I pictured the series ending in real life. Obviously, there are some differences, such as Dumbledore still being there, but now I HAVE to read the last chapter. Bye for now!

About my last review, I found that punctuation mistake, and also one other thing.
“Well, it would’ve been a good excuse if your memory weren’t so good,” Harry laughed. Shouldn't it say your memory WASN'T so good?
And the punctuation mistake: “He’s quite safe here, though” Luna offered. There should be a comma after 'though'.
Okay, that's all.

Author's Response: Thanks for getting back to me on that. In the first quote you mentioned, you\'re probably right about the correct word usage there, but that\'s not always how people talk. Since people tend to say it both ways in everyday speech, I don\'t see a problem with doing it for dialogue. Thanks for pointing out the missing comma. I\'m off to correct it right now! :-)

Yaaay! Great ending! I liked Luna's reaction to Sirius' appearance...you write her character very well. My only problem is that the last paragraph was a bit cheesy. Besides that, though, bravo! One of the best fics I've ever read! Very JKR-like!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I think you\'ll find that I don\'t really like the \"teen angst\" thing, so if a couple isn\'t together, there will always be a good reason for it. In this case, there\'s a lot to go in the story because it\'s about a lot more than just Harry\'s memory loss and relationship with Ginny. ;-)
