hello :) thanks for the review, and I am glad you like the story.
I am not actually American, and the legal system in my country works very like the British one. I did research, but in the end decided it was unnecessary to include the information you stated. First, 'lawyer' is pretty much universally recognised, more so than 'solicitor' and barrister' anyway. I didn't want to have to give explanations that would only slow down the story. Secondly, I didn't feel it was totally relevant - this is fiction, and fantasy (after all, you don't seem to have any complaints about the inclusion of vampires - the portrayal of them as real is just as inaccurate ;] ). And who's to say that in the magical world they have decided upon a separate and less complex system?
