Fanfiction's cool. Not quite as cool as soccer. Almost, though.
Although the REAL Harry Potter has both of those beat. By quite a bit.

I recently watched "The Guardian" with Ashton Kutcher and some oldish guy. I thought it was really good. And I like Disturbia. And HP of course.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and its sequels New Moon and Eclipse, are hands-down the greatest book series ever, after HP. Amazing =]

Boys Like Girls is my favorite band right now. They're basically awesome.

Also, right now I'm a little obsessed with the musical "Wicked," which I recently saw. It's AMAZING. For anyone who doesn't know, it takes place in Oz (yes, like the Wizard of Oz) and it's about how the Wicked Witch of the West becomes, well, Wicked. The music's great, the story's great, and the musical's amazing. Go to it. =]

A Few Detentions and A Story by LaneTechFreshie

Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.

Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!

Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)

Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.

this is a funny story, i think you should put in a problem from malfoy, ernie macmillan, ginny, or maybe luna lovegood. this is a brilliant idea!! it's hilarious!

There will definately be letters from Malfoy and Ginny, and I was gonna do one from Luna, but then I realised things would be getting too complicated(there are so many minor plot lines hanging around I just couldn't handle any more!!)!! But there will be an appearance from Luna in one of the narration chapters!! I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to fit Ernie Macmillan in(a letter anyway), but I will try and get an appearance from him at least!! Thanks for reviewing!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I did put quite a bit of work on it as it was my first fanfiction and I'm happy to see that readers have enjoyed it. I'm currently working on a fanfiction about the summer before sixth year which I was working on it during the summer last year but then I had my GCSE work to do and I totally forgot about it! Shows the type of author I am :p But I've finally completed it and I just need to edit it and then BETA it. It should be on the site soon but with all the fanfictions being entered for the Winter Holidays Challenge I think it might take a while. Watch out for it though!
