I'm an avid reader turned fanfiction writer who aims to one day be paid for original stories, but for now is satisfied with the invaluable reward of reviews (and three Quicksilver Quill awards). ^_^
ETA: Like Bilbo, I was There and Back Again (There being out in the non-fanfiction-world) a Writer's Tale filled with adventure, battles, and a return to the Shire of MNFF.
Oh my heck, you really captured the almost obsessive way a girl would notice every little detail about the man she loved but didn't think would love her back, and the bittersweet feeling of being close, but nowhere near as close as you want to be....write more!
I'm not an angsty person, but I enjoyed this poem, and the Tonks one too. Do you take requests? :D I'd love to read one where she's gone mousey, but Remus still thinks she's beautiful and feel guilty for having a secret satisfaction that she refuses to give up on them. It could be a Christmas present, lol.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the reviews! Yeah I know it's very angsty, but I guess I was in an angsty mood when I wrote it! That's generally how it works I think... Anyway, hmm, I'd like to write more, that's a good idea. I'll see how it goes. Hehe
Yay for you posting on MN as well as FF! The more readers, the merrier, so I hope you're very merry indeed! ^_^
Don't let a fic's review count get you down! With mine, it'll be 8, and that's good for a site that doesn't allow anonymous reviews! My first fic on another site, I did handstands for six the first few chaps, lol. I think it's a good start, and yay you edited! ^_^
Author's Response: Yay i got a review from one of my favorite authors! lol thank you so much! and the reasons haven't updated in a while are 1) stupid finals and 2) the floppy holding the story went missing...
Your writing has a bittersweet air and a depth of feeling that makes even a hardcore R/Hr shipper not mind the D/Hr pairing so much, since even though Harry is Draco's best man, Ron will recover and always be Harry's best mate. ^_^ The two taking jabs and working out touchy subjects over firewhiskey was my favourite part. Holidays aren't all fluffly, although I'm glad you gave the story a happy ending!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you like the stories I come up with. You are quite an inspiration and not too shabby at beta-ing!
At sixteen, Sirius looked forward to summer holiday until he was banished to Scotland. Unable to use magic, he’s faced with a dilemma. How to impress a pretty villager? With a little help from his friends. . . SBOC
I'll say it on every site you post this on, ^_~, I'm glad you're giving readers an epilogue, even though parting from the story is sweet sorrow!
Author's Response: The ending of any story is hard... but there will be at least one more tasts of Sirius and Maeve! Thank YOU for all your encouragement and support throughout the creation of this story!
Thank you for writing a story that made me gleeful over being a beta since I got to see the chapters first. I hope you'll be inspired to write another story soon! ^_^
Author's Response: Thank you for being such an encouraging beta! You\'ll be the first to know if I get any new ideas!
You never get a second chance to make a first impression....unless you're Sirius! LOL I'd like Maeve even if all I knew was she wasn't afraid of big dogs and she talks to them. I'm looking forward to James' idea! ^_^
Author's Response: How very true... at least Sirius knows she's not afraid of big black dogs... and she's good a potions... and she cares about her sister... so all in all she ain't so bad LOL I'm looking forward to James' plan too... wonder what it is...
I enjoy this story so much, I had to review on both sites! ^_^ I like the slow build up, it reminds me of my favourite Regency romances or a James Ivory film. (without the angst, lol) Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am really enjoying writing this story and without your encouragement (and prodding when I need it) I know this story wouldn\'t have come this far!
"Sirius covered her hand with his, “Perhaps we could plan another picnic. A more private one.”
If I quote that on two sites, you have to write, right? :D Can't wait!
Author's Response: You, my friend, can quote whatever you want, wherever you want! I promise, I\'ll write it!
Thank you for writing such an enjoyable story that distracts me from watching for mistakes because I'm too busy reading! (yes, that's my excuse for any left on page and I'm sticking to it, LOL )
The first chap is an intriguing start to a story that makes me think of Regency romances and reformed rakes that find true love. Siriusly charming. ^_^
Author's Response: Thanks for being such a good friend! Don't be too hard on yourself if you find a mistake you forgot to bring to my attention... after all I'm the one that made the mistake in the first place!
Sirius is appealing no matter what form he takes!
Reading the chap again, it made me happy knowing what good friends (and good meals!) he had before the war changed everything.
Nice depiction of Ted- any family moments coming up?
Author's Response: You never know what I'm going to come up with next. If anyone is interested, the Broccoli & Howgate Blue cheese soup and the Arran beef braised in Guinness are really menu items at the Blackwaterfoot Lodge (which really does exist) in Arran Scotland!

I could have sworn I already said this... LOL
Do librarians actually work or do they just go round saying 'Shhhh!'? Boo on the biddy cutting their flirtation short. Hoping for more soon! ^_^
Author's Response: Of course there will be more soon! Hopefully they won't keep getting interrupted!
Yay the chap is up on MN! I'm so glad Sirius is making Maeve's doubts go away. He'd persuade me! ^_~
Author's Response: I think he\'d be able to persuade me too! ;-)
Shopping just heightens the anticipation for the ceremony....and the dancing! (At least for me, lol) I know the wait will be worth it! ^_^
Author's Response: I just love to go shopping and couldn't resist the snooty sales ladies becoming subservient when they smelled money! I hope you think it's worth the wait too!
Ack, a sneaky period 4th paragraph down slipped through, but thankfully mods don't make you be perfect, just pretty darned good, lol. There's a 'countdown to the big day' tension I like, although of course I want next chap to be the ceremony. Maybe we'll 'see' Lucius arriving? Everybody and the Manor getting spiffy? ^_^
Author's Response: Tension is a good thing, I just hope you enjoy the actual event when I get it written! You'll have to wait and see what comes next, 'cause I'm going to take a page out of Jo's book and not give anything away too early!
Hi rookie...I mean Reggie...lol. Wow, first fanfic? I enjoyed the way you had her feel something in the pit of her stomach, and led up to wanting to jump out of the bed and embrace Remus. I'm afraid our Sirius is the tragic hero, but Lupin's "tragic opera" comment was amusing. If you want to continue the story, I'd like to read it- what a scene that would be when Tonks lets Remus know she could hear him!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review (My first review is a positive one from the Master of the Remus-Tonks fic? I'm very jazzed). I think I will continue the story, since I do think the angst needs to be resolved.
Author's Response:
I enjoyed your descriptions, everything from Spinner's End to the goblet. Very good eye for detail!
My view of Severus and yours are very different, though, and I don't believe he would ever write....
"Lastly, I want you to know that I am neither on the Light Side, nor on the Dark Side. I am stuck in between, and I can surrender to neither. Therefore, I am taking the only way out."
I think he did mourn Dumbledore, agreed to kill him, is on the Light Side, (even if his 'hat' is dingy gray) and Jo will probably give him a Darth Vader end in book 7. *heaves sigh and goes back to writing Snape story where his mother isn't the only one who cares for him*
Thanks for sharing your idea of what will happen! ^_^
Author's Response: I don\'t believe that Snape will commit suicide in book 7. I can think of a Black Snape or a Grey Snape.
A Darth Vader ending? Looks like you\'ve been watching way too much Star Wars lol.
Thank you for your review!
"She idly wished the sky would release rain so it could cry in her stead."
Lovely imagery! Thanks for writing this. ^_^
Author's Response: You have no idea how happy it makes me to see your name among my reviewers!! You\'re my all time favorite author, and you like my story! Eek! I\'m thrilled! This had to make my week.
