Aspire, Seek, Attain
Phoenix5225 is a 27 year old who has been writing off and on for the past 17 years. She finished her first "novel" at the tender age of eleven. Now she only writes on the side, choosing instead to pursue a more stable and boring job as a governmental accountant. In her very limited free time, she can be found reading or working on scrapbook albums with the crime drama television show Law and Order (the original or any of its spinoffs) on in the background.
On the forums, she is a member of the Bannermakers Associatin, Society of Potterverse Adults: Backstories and a member of the Beta Guild. She has a random obsession with Severus Snape, and Half Blood Prince may very well be her all time favorite book. Contrary to her name, she does NOT have a random obsession with Fawkes. Phoenix5225 was a member of a sorority in college which utilized the phoenix as a symbol. The crest in her author's page link is the crest of said sorority, and its motto, written on the banner in Greek, is Aspire, Seek, Attain.
Phoenix5225 lives in a small town in the heartland of America with her recently acquired husband and her nine year old twin stepsons.
I lied (unintentionally, of course). I actually have feature privledges next week. I had my fics already lined up, but one of them I just realized is not acceptable to be featured as it is rated Professors. This gem is going up in its place. So about Christmas Eve, check the main site for a Christmas present from me to you.
Author's Response: Oh, my goodness! Thank you, Kim! I\'m really honored. (I\'m going to post the Epilogue right now, in hopes that it will be up by the time the story appears on the \"Featured\" list.) ~Ken
*giggles* I love the "Are we clear?"; "Crystal." Part. Makes me think of Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise in one of my all-time favorite movies. *Sighs* Tom Cruise in a navy uniform....
Author's Response: I can\'t handle the navy uniform.... *grin*
This is why I admire people who actually can write poetry, and write it well, instead of the goop I write. This was very well done. I can picture some storyteller somewhere using this story to tell children about the greatest wizard of their time.
Author's Response: Oh don\'t disparage your own writing, dear! Poetry is poetry regardless, but as I said before I happened to really enjoy your ballad. :) Thanks for the compliments though. I really appreciate it! ~GG
Mama returns to writing with another brilliant piece. Love it, my dear.
You know what I love best about this story? I love that reading the brothers together reminded me so much of Fred and George. Obviously their manner comes from their mother's side. :-)
This was very touching.
Author's Response: Thanks, Kim. I\'m glad F&G reminded you of F&G. I tried not to force it. ~Ken
*arches eyebrow quizzically* Lucy?
That's a very sweet touch to the ending - that she defended her brother. And also a very realistic veiw of the verdict. Clearly Lucy was guilty (yeah, not going to hear the end of that one...) but the judge was right - who would be protected by him being sentenced to Azkaban.
Very nice and very original....though I think you might have plagarized part of my story.... (JUST KIDDING!!) :-)
Well done Elle!
Author's Response: Yes, Lucy. :p He is her baby brother, after all. However, I doubt anyone else would get away with calling him that. *resigns to being teased forever*
And to your second comment, I have only one response: *Bella Cackle* :D
Thanks for the review, dear. *hugs*
Oh Gina, you must tell more. Already I was drawn in by your storytelling. The dark setting, the quick tone and pace, the fiery anger - I need to know more. Who is Marcum? Was he just a friend to Albus? Albus must turn away from the Darkness. And you must continue on.
Author's Response: Kim! A very belated thank you for such a wonderful review! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this story. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate all your wonderful comments. There is more - Marcum was much more than a friend, but I certainly can't tell you what happens to Albus. I do hope to continue someday. Thank you again for the great review and the encouragement!! ~Gina :)
