I'm a 26-year-old engineer who has become "obsessed" (that's the word my wife uses, anyway) with Harry Potter. Of course, she also accused me of being in love with Ginny Weasley once, so.... *shrug*
I write (and read) stories like the ones on this site as a way of escaping from the real world for a while.
Currently, I'm working on two chaptered stories (see below), which I update just as fast as the amazingly awesome Moderators will let me. I know I get frustrated when it takes forever for a story I'm reading to get updated, so I try to avoid giving other people that same frustration. :D

Great chapter! But *gasp!* Ginny's either under the Imperius Curse or (more likely) under the effect of some potion. She seemed fine until the tea, and what was it that Lily saw her putting in there? Anyway, can't wait to see how Arthur's plan pans out, and I also can't wait to see Dick get what he deserves.

I loved Sirius' reaction to Harry's attack on Dick -- it was classic! Still waiting on that explanation for Ginny's behavior, though. On the other hand, I was very glad to see the old, forceful Ginny starting to shine through. Can we see some Bat-Bogeys attacking Dick's face soon, please? Please?
I'm intensely curious about why Ginny hasn't dumped him yet. It's more than obvious that he's a $#@% (insert your favorite expletive), and this chapter made it sound like she's trying to run him off (even if her efforts have been a little pathetic so far). But why hasn't she just thrown him out of her house and her life?
Argh. Still enjoying the story, and still looking forward to that explanation. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Lily is starting to get really annoyed at her mother as well, and the next chapter, as I said, will have her talking to both Dick (about why he hasn\'t gotten a clue yet) and her mother (about why SHE has gotten a clue yet!) Thanks for the review, I\'m glad you like it!

Loved this chapter, especially the part where Dumbledore climbed up to the top of a tree. That was hilarious! Anyway, I'm excited to see where this story goes, and I hope you update soon.

Dear, sweet Rita... what would we do without her? This is a nice chapter, and I agree with RC that it's better than the last one. Don't get me wrong -- I absolutely love Ginny and I think the last chapter needed to be there, it just wasn't nearly as entertaining as this one. As always, I'm interested to see what happens next, and to eventually find out who has done this to poor Harry! Keep up the good work.

Nice chapter. My only complaint would be the Dursleys' using the word "magic." They usually refuse to actually say the word, replacing it instead with "weirdness" or "unnaturalness" or something similar. Other than that, though, it was very good. I'm still interested to see what in the world is going on. Oh, and the portable swamp in the parlor was great. :-)

Very nice. Poor Harry; we really do abuse him, don't we? Is there a significance to the fact that the math teacher is a lot like McGonagall and also happens to be named Minerva? Also, the name Trevor McKinnon... Any relation to Marlene McKinnon?
Come to think of it, all the names and descriptions of people seem familiar (with the exception of Buddy, anyway). Ms. Minerva is obvious. Trevor is Neville's toad. McKinnon is the last name of a member of the original Order of the Phoenix. Theodore is the first name of a Slytherin in Harry's year (Nott). Is it possible that none of this is real, and Harry is actually dreaming? Interesting thought.
Oh, and just so you know, I'm not worried about you copying A Stolen Past. I could tell right away that the stories are totally different. Good luck with this; I look forward to your next update. :)

You are so evil, Miss Moony. Seriously, though, I'm really interested to see what you have planned for this story. Is it going to be dark and dreary with a sick, twisted, and sad ending? Or will Harry's innate goodness finally win out, turning him back to the good side? Hopefully, Rivah and I have managed to turn you into enough of a romantic that it will be the latter. ;-)
Great chapter, even though it is dark and twisted and all that. You really do hate Dumby, don't you? He just seems so... powerless, indecisive, and stupid in this story! But, based on what you've said about him before, I think that's your intent. Anyway, keep up the good work and update soon!

Well, well, well, Moony; you've managed to do it again. "What have I managed to do again?" you ask? Simple: you've managed to make Harry STUPID! ;-)
All joking aside, though, this chapter was quite well done. I still think the Order really botched things at the beginning, but that's to be expected or there wouldn't be a story (plus, the way things came about was perfectly believable, even if it did make me want to wring pretty much everybody's neck).
I have this sinking feeling that Harry didn't really have a flashback about using the Cruciatus Curse on Bellatrix -- Voldemort was planting the memory in his mind via Legilimency. I could be wrong, but it sure seems awfully convenient, especially when nothing his friends said at the beginning sparked any sort of memories.
Anyway, I just wanted to say Good Job, Moony! Very enjoyable chapter, and I hope you're able to post the next one soon.

Hello, Miss Moony! I just checked my e-mail, and lo and behold I find a new chapter of CC. Hooray! It's very satisfying to see that Harry appears to have his memory back now, although I've always thought it would be funny to have it return when he's fighting side by side with Voldy. Then he could just turn on his supposed master in the middle of the battle and practice his Unforgivables. :-) But I'm really glad to see him back in the hands of the good guys. And did I see the word sequel in one of your review responses? I hope so!

Hey, Moony! Glad to see a new chapter up. It was kinda short, but it got the job done. I'm mostly glad that Peter's gone, but it's sort of an empty victory since Voldy was the one to do the deed. But I guess revenge is always that way, isn't it? Anyhow, I'm very interested to see what will happen at this raid on Gringotts, and what Ron and Ginny will do with their newly-discovered information.

Aaaaaaaaargh! *sigh* Okay, before I start to rant, let me say that this was a very well-written chapter, and I enjoyed it very much. I can't complain too badly about what Harry is doing, since I'm planning some things that are at least this hard on the readers for one of my own stories.
Okay, now I'll rant. You're being STUPID, Harry! STOP IT! *deep breath* All right, now what's it going to take to make him realize that he was with his real friends at the beginning and Voldemort's the one who has been lying to him? I mean, seriously.... It's good to see that he's questioning things, but he really needs to ENTERTAIN those thoughts instead of pushing them aside. STUPID HARRY! GRRRR!!!
Okay, that last paragraph was directed more at your main character than at you, since I know that you already know all that stuff. Oh, I did want to comment on how much I like your Snape, though. He's very in-character, but he's also a good guy, which is quite difficult to pull off (although you have a bit more leeway since this is pre-HBP). Take care, and I hope to see chapter 13 soon. Oh, and thanks for the dedication! :-)
