It has been about four years since Voldemort was defeated. Neville Longbottom has a comfortable life teaching at Hogwarts with all his friends, yet he is missing something in his life. Then he meets Aurora Hitchcock, owner of a Potions shop in Hogsmeade Village. Together they frantically work on an ancient potion for protection from a devastating spell, in the shadow of a rising threat. Before they can discover the unknown enemy, someone from Aurora’s past returns. What will happen when ancient Potions meet modern Herbology?

Wonderful chapter! Harry is definately acting like an adult now, but I still don't think he's doing the right thing with Ginny. I liked how you had Ron & Ginny talking. I've always thought they'd be close even though he's over protective-he can learn a lot from her. Looking forward to reading more.
Author's Response: Yes, Harry doesn\'t always do the right thing but once he makes up his mind, it\'s hard to make him change it. He believes it\'s for the best, but we\'ll see how that works out for him. I think Ginny is more mature than Ron in a lot of ways - he\'s all about getting physical but can\'t yet deal with the emotions that go with a serious relationship. Thanks for reviewing.

Wow, that was quite torturous for both couples. I agree with Ginny though, he can't ask her to wait for him and not date anyone else if he's not willing for them to be a couple. Though, I think she only said all that stuff about dating other guys to frustrate Harry and make him jealous. Good chapter, looking forward to more.

Great chapter. Poor Harry being analyzed like that, but he needed to hear it. I really loved Hermione calling them 'evil fuckers'-it seems so unllike her, but not really. She's terribly protective of Ron and Harry. There was so many wonderful things going on in this chapter; I can't possibly comment on them all. It's nice to know that any family Harry has will be with Ginny. I do hope they have that chance when this is all over. Great job! I just love this story.

That was fantastic! I loved how the couples were floating with banners. Good think Molly doesn't know. Mark and Cindy really let them off easy with just changing their hair for the day. I was surprised that Hermione and Ron were down there as well. I really liked Harry being able to talk to James, Lily, and Sirius. Well done there! I think it's pretty easy to tell what the next chapter will be about. My guess is it's a party for Harry's birthday, but with Ginny's so close, it could be her too. Love your story! So very much looking forward to more. I'm going to have to go back and read chapter 5 for hints about the big plot twist!
Author's Response: Very good guessing the \'alll the lights in the house turned on\' portion of this chapter. My Betas had a hard time with it, and it was way funny. I love Mark and Cindy, and mark my words, we will be seeing a lot more of them. Sylvia too. The portraits at Godric\'s don\'t have a focal plot place right now, but I do intend for Harry to go back and visit them again soon enough. Good luck with the plot twist guessing! Author's Response: Harry realized that Ginny was probably trying to rush into their relationship and wanted her to live a life before she actually did. So when they both got their lives together, he came for her.
