Dear Readers
I am terribly sorry for the long wait for my next chapter. Due to a hectic month I have been unable to spend time writing. But the busy part is over so I now have time to write the next instalment of this story. In fact I have already finished chapter 12 and started on 13 and that one will be submitted as soon as I have typed up chapter 12.
Anyway I would like to thank you all for your reviews as it means a lot to me that you like my story. I was going to end it soon and do a sequel continuing from where the story left off. Since I think the next part is a lot darker than the beginning.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes I haven’t had my Beta Reader look over this.
Sorry for the long wait, but chapter 13 is finished. All I have to do is submit it when my Beta Reader has looked over it.

Sorry for the long delay i am currently working on chapter 14 and am going to make it another long one to make up for lost time. Anyway's i must get back to my writing.

A Different Reality by Gmariam

A Destiny in Time by Gmariam

Summary: Harry Potter has fulfilled his destiny, and survived his final confrontation with Voldemort; the Dark Lord has been vanquished, but at a terrible price. Dozens are dead, including some of those closest to Harry, and he blames only himself for failing them. Desperate, he returns to Hogwarts hoping to change what has happened and save those he loves. In doing so he unknowingly saves himself, but the consequences require great sacrifice.
This short story is now complete. It begins on the battlefield just after Harry’s duel with Voldemort, and follows Harry as he tries desperately to right the mistakes of the past, only to rewrite his own future.

It is a very good story and chapter 2 was good. I liked Dumbledore's moving picture showing Harry where the time-turner was.

But no, it\'s not Dumbledore. JKR said he\'s dead and I\'m not about to contradict her, at least on something like that. ;) You will, however, encounter Dumbledore in some form or another. Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.
The warning is for later chapters.
Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?
