incredible. i have read a number of marauder fanfics, but this one captured it so perfectly. so many minute details that connect flawlessly to the canon, and i loved all the parallels to the adventures of harry, ron, and hermione. and the characterization, especially remus', was perfect. loved it!

From Across the Great Divide by Ashwinder

Rated: Professors •
Summary: A post-Hogwarts H/G fic. Strange circumstances draw Harry and Ginny closer together. But are they in danger? Romance, adventure, Monty Python, and tartan boxer shorts abound. Written pre-OOP.

Dreary Summers by Loz

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry Potter is given a diary, and the result is the ability to write about summer with the Dursleys. Harry takes his anger and pain out in the only way he can, by being grimly humourous. He's an outcast, he doesn't belong, and he never will. Inspired by a quote from Charles Dickens' David Copperfield --- “What meals I had in silence and embarrassment, always feeling that there were a knife and fork too many, and those mine; an appetite too many, and that mine; a plate and chair too many, and those mine; a somebody too many, and that I!”–

i'm sad this had to end! i was quite enjoying it.

Reviewer: ginevra715 Signed
Date: 05/26/07 Title: Chapter 2: Entries Two and Three

this sounds shockingly like my own attempts at a diary when i would go off on random tangents of talking to the diary...this does a good job of being effortlessly funny, because sometimes you can feel that the author is trying too hard and then it's no longer funny.

Harry's Sixth Year by GringottsVault711

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry's sixth year; the burden of the prophecy, the grief over the loss of Sirius, the wizarding war, blossoming romances, the new Quidditch Captain, Weasley family drama - and that's just part of it.

This story is great. Cute, and spontaneously hilarious.

This chapter is the BEST. I am laughing so hard that I can't really see the screen anymore. All the costumes, Ron injuring Hermione constantly -- and the straightforward delivery of all the funny lines is what makes them so good.

Oh the Insanity - The Thoughts of Hermione Granger by Hermiones_Revenge

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A series of hilarious journal entries and lists from Hermione, describing the insane "war" she has gotten herself into with Parvati. Insanity, and hilarity, ensue... A sequel to "The Secret Thoughts of Hermione Granger" (though it'll make sense if you haven't read it)

Note: Another story from "back in the day."

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry writes a love note to one person...but someone else recieves it and gets the wrong idea. From here, confusion and chaos come about. Who is really sending the notes? Who really likes who? What is going on?!

hilarious...the part about floo-ing to the slytherins literally has me sitting here laughing so hard i'm not making any noise and i'm crying from the laughter. brilliant story.

The Great Valentine War by CarrickORourke

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It seemed so simple. Give a valentine card to a friend that you hope (if you dare admit it) just may be a little bit more than a friend someday soon. But nothing is ever that simple between the four of them, is it? Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione as well as a good dose of many other familiar characters.

very good story, but i think you accidentally cut off the end? great though

The Power Of Suggestion by FriendsOfSnape

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: "Be careful what you wish for," the old adage goes. So what happens when Hogwarts is under a spell where what you say is what you get?

Chappie 14 is UP! And while it is the end, let us not be sad, but instead read the insanity that has driven so many to review and nearly wet themsleves with delight.

CRACKING up when harry had to help draco with his lines! i've never laughed so hard out loud at a fanfic before. great writing, too.

favorite line of the story: "Well, he pulled a yak out of a top hat. It seemed impressive at the time"

SUCH a hilarious story.

Author's Response: Yeah, I thought that one was pretty good, too.

The Salem Witch Trials by FullofLife

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry, Ron and Hermione are spending a day in the small wizarding village of Hogsmeade when they happen to come upon a strange amulet lying in the snow. This amulet has amazing powers and transports the three friends to Salem, Massachusetts in the year 1692 when Muggles lived in fear of witches and wizards and the penalty for being able to perform magic was death.

wow. this story started out so cool, and now it is so intensely powerful. normally i don't read stories until they're finished because i hate getting stopped in the middle, but this was too unique for me to pass up. i can't wait to see how you end it.

Harry Potter and the Legend of Infinity by peskypetunia

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: So many tiny things can change the outcome of our futures. How much do we already know? How are Ginny and Lily so much alike? Surprise weddings, painfull losses, and Ron without a voice, leaves the seventh year at Hogwarts to be the most interesting yet. Please review.

absolutely incredible. so creative and complex, and you tied in all the little details by the end. i love the way you worked the final battle.

Author's Response: thank you very much

Through Fields of Gold by Seren

Rated:
Summary: She could walk through the graveyard without blinking, bypassing the graves of fallen childhood friends. She could walk through the halls of Hogwarts without missing a step, tracing back a path to her first day as she rushed through the school. She could even make her way to the Forbidden Forest and trample through it, ignoring the splashes and stains that still marred the aged trees and wasted ground. But Hermione cannot make herself face the Great Lake, calm on this balmy summer day, where she had watched three people she had slowly grown to love fade from existence. Character Death within. Post-Hogwarts.

ahhhhh so gorgeous. and so perfect. a wonderful balance of anguish and acceptance, pain and innocence.

Ill Met by Moonlight by Slian Martreb

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Curious as to why Sirius always seemed to harbor a special hate for Snape? The answer is here. Set in the time of the Marauders, sixth year, this is a startling revelation into their animosity. Rated R for offensive language, GA, MOL and (eventual mentioning of a) SSP. SSP means SAME SEX PAIRING. Do not read if you are offended by such things.
