Beyond the Prophecy by the_bartender713

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Oh, I'll tell you a tale of a sainted wizard, of his friends and their adventures in store. And I'll tell you a tale of an evil wizard, of the decimated world torn apart by his war.

But be warned, I say, think not far ahead. For where you might see gain, loss may be instead.

Heavily run the theories and conclusions dreamt out of whims, but know that what you hope lies most likely not within.

She's written the words, and told the lot of trials, tribulations, and soul-eating rot.

But I won't tell you how, and I won't tell you when. Just know your illustrious Bartender has done it yet again

What lies Beyond the Prophecy and Harry Potter's life- who knows? Only the exalted one, Merlin, and the one who writes.

Incredible saga. so many fanfics gloss over harry's defeat of voldemort, but you really took the time to craft a detailed, plausible, and beautiful way for harry to finally defeat evil.

Author's Response: I\'ve noticed that. They either start \'post war\' or just skip the chapter and have Hermione say \'and lv was gone for good\'. I\'m glad you appreciate my interpretatioN!

A Tale of Ordinary Madness by GryffindorGoddess

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry is troubled in the middle of the night by strangeness happening all around him. He dreams of a world that is blissfully and completely devoid of evil, but at the same time it's creepy and disturbing. Harry battles with accepting "the way things are" and does his best to counter everything this supposed dream has told him to be true. Is it just him, or has the whole world gone mad?

wow. really cool. i just read "a night in the lives" before this, and i like the way you transition into the fictitious so smoothly (i.e. the quidditch game, the dream). this is just really well-written, i'm not sure how to pinpoint exactly what it was that was so awesome about how well you ended it.

Author's Response: Aw thanks! This fic is especially close to my heart and I had such a good time writing it, so I\'m glad you enjoyed it as well. The transitions from fantasy to reality is one of my favorite aspects as well, because I\'m sure everyone knows how fun those little games are and how they come and go so easily. :) I very much appreciate your review, Genevra! ~GG

Transparent by Argelfraster

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A few years after Hogwarts is closed down, Moaning Myrtle is moping around in the bathroom when she has an unexpected visitor... Myrtle/Cedric pairing.
Reviewer: ginevra715 Signed
Date: 09/28/06 Title: Chapter 1: Cedric Haunts

I love this story. The characterization of the ghosts is so perfect...like how they turn silver when they blush and their 'pearly fingers wove together'. Yay for people whose first fics are about Myrtle!

Author's Response: Yeah, yay for Myrtle fics! heheh. Thanks for reviewing!

Storm of Darkness by dashofmagic

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: After the long fight, after all of their hard work, it is over. Voldemort has triumphed, and the Wizarding world has been thrown into darkness. Ginny is the servant of the Malfoys, her free will sucked away from her. Ron is forced to join the Death Eaters, threatened with his family's lives. Hermione is taken prisoner by creatures of the night. But, far away, weak and barely alive, is the one who can pull them out of the storm...if love can survive the challenge.

um...incredible? i'm a little astounded right now. so dark but so beautiful, and sooo gloriously written.

Author's Response: thanks so much for that comment. i can\'t wait to read your story...probably tomorrow, considering i\'m totally and completely exhausted from spring break. check out my new story (hope it gets validated soon) called \"Mortality.\"

Portrait of A Love Lost by Gmariam

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry and Ginny find a portrait tucked away in the Room of Requirement. It is a painting of a beautiful witch with chocolate brown hair and grey eyes, standing next to a very familiar wizard with long auburn hair and twinkling blue eyes. It is a painting of a couple who were once in love, and who were married at Hogwarts many years past. But fate intervened, and a tragic loss separated them. This is their story, a portrait of love lost – and found.

This story was written for the August Monthly Challenge - Weddings and was awarded first place.

This is so beautiful, and so imaginative! I like your explanation for so many aspects of Dumbledore's life that we never get the chance to learn about before he dies, from something as big as his wife to something as small as the scar on his knee. Still a wonderful story even after the 7th book's publication. And the last chapter -- so wonderfully done!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review!! I loved writing this story and I'm so glad you found it resonant even after the final book. I really tried to work in all those little details about Dumbledore so I'm glad you picked up on them--and I do hope we get some of those details from JKR someday, even if they contradict this. I'm so glad you enjoyed the ending. And really, it's just such a treat to get a review for a story I wrote so long ago - thank you so much!! ~Gina :)

Ginny Weasley: Supervixen by the_bartender713

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: What happens when you cross Ginny Weasley with the death of Harry, a tyrannic Voldemort, unwanted fame, and the betrayal of her best friend? You get a very pissed off Ginny, with an agenda for revenge.

A dystopic version of what happens after the final battle, and a bad (in a good way) Ginny that certainly takes her revenge on Voldemort in spades. The 'girl-power' super heroine you've all been waiting for- brought over from another site due to popular demand!

All lyrics are copyrighted by the band Garbage, and no infringement is intended- I thank them for inspiring this plotbunny!

that was SO amazing. i don't even know how to describe it. but i suppose i should have known it would be all along when i glanced at the top of the page halfway through and realized it was written by one of my favorite authors on this site.

Author's Response: Awwww~~~ THANKS !!! I\'m glad you liked it, and it\'s so flattering to know that my reputation preceeds me. Thanks again!

Harry Potter, the Half-Blood Prince and Mary-Sue by Valentinia

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: What if Ginny hadn't been there after Harry won his Quidditch game? In his euphoria, Harry would have fallen for someone else, of course. And who could that be but the beautiful foreign exchange student, Mary-Sue!

A Mary Sue parody!

Warning: Extreme OOCness follows. All of the warnings this fic has are based on not-to-be-taken-seriously situations!

this is brilliant. often these parodies overdo the stereotypes, but this is perfect somehow.

Author's Response: Yeah, I was afraid I might\'ve overdone it, but I\'m glad you liked this fic! Thanks for leaving a review!

poor Ron, all left out! still a great fic up through the end.

Author's Response: Yeah, Ron just sort of faded away, didn\'t he? :D Thanks for the review!

Like Father, Like Son by Mira Miracle

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Maths like it's taught in Muggle schools is useless, isn't it? In this matter, both Ron and his son Nick think alike. Unfortunately, they have to complete Nick's maths homework together - but luckily there's always some help around.

The Dark Lord's Blog by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time? Well, that's an excellent question. Who would have known that the Dark Lord has a blog? (He also has a loyal following of readers, most of whom are Death Eaters and who post their comments.) Voldemort dispenses advice on everything from murder methods to germ protection to Power Rangers to shoes, and gives an account of the life of an evil overlord. But is he posting too much personal information online? And will Harry read it and find out more about the Dark Lord than Voldemort ever intended? Read and see.

WARNING: Extremely OOC behaviour from almost all.

RUNNER-UP in the 2007 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Humour fic! Also nominated like 21 times, because apparently my readers are as insane as I am!

amazing...although i'm having trouble reading because the silent laughing makes it hard to see the screen. personal favorites: cruci-os, "death eaters, friend me", snake foe foul boy, using toasters to kill the OotP...and basically every single sentence you wrote.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! Some of the things that people find funny surprise me, though... and no one has mentioned the two things that I still think are the funniest in the story. But then, I have a weird sense of humour.

Interesting take on Snape...good of you to address the time when he was once loyal to Voldemort instead of ignoring it. I liked it! Very sad, too.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I find Snape\'s live absolutely fascinating!

Author's Response: Two years later and still editing: l find Snape\'s life*

A Stolen Past by nuw255

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Fifteen-year-old Harry Potter wakes up in his cupboard under the stairs at number four, Privet Drive with no memory of the past five years of his life. What happened to his memory? What do his strange dreams mean? And most importantly, how will he survive in a school for incurably criminal boys?

This is primarily a mystery, with a bit of shippiness thrown in here and there. Of course, if I told you WHO is involved in the shippiness, that would ruin part of the mystery, wouldn’t it?

This story takes place immediately after OotP (and thus disregards HBP).

Sleeping With The Enemy by SnorkackCatcher

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: "I can't see her -- Her! -- in the next bed, not through the hangings -- but I can hear her ... She's lying there peacefully, not a care in the world, while I'm lying here crying on my pillow ... After all, it seems She's the one Ron wants." Hermione/Ron/Lavender triangulation, set during HBP.

that was so cool. you had me until the end. i thought a couple of things were a little out of character for Hermione, but I never suspected this. really good!

Author's Response: Thanks -- that was the effect I was going for. :)
