My name is Megan. I'm 13 years old and I wish
I was somewhere exciting. I had pretty pictures on here but I had to take them off. =[ *sigh*
My favourite things: Wicked, Rent, Cats, A Chorus Line, HP, Bend it like Beckham, POTC, pretty much any book but especially fantasy, and WICKED!!!!!
My least favourite things: hmmm... vegatables.
Wicked, Rent, Avenue Q, A Chorus Line, Cats, Seussical, Mary Poppins, Godspell- Give me Broadway musicals, I love them all!
What's a gimel? Good fic, very funny! ~megan~
Author's Response: A letter of the Hebrew alphabet. In a game of dreidel, getting a gimel wins you the entire pot of coins, nuts, or whatever you\'re playing with.
That was brilliant! Keep writing more about Janey- I would love to know what she gets up to next! ~megan~
Author's Response: I\'m sure you would ... and so would I! We\'ll just have to keep this little brain of mine ticking along, and see what she delivers next, won\'t we?
"YES! GOD, YES!"
that made me laugh so hard! I'm not sure why, but if I ever get proposed to, that's how I'll answer!
Really great story, update soon please! ~megan~
Author's Response: *laughs harder* The WHOLE TIME I was writing this chapter, I was practically falling out of my chair laughing. You can imagine the looks I got... It was great fun, but it\'s also been a problem. Chapter 4 will probably be the darkest in the whole story, and it\'s been pretty hard writing it when I\'m gagging on fluff resulting from chapter 3. That\'s the main reason it\'s not out yet, but I\'ll get to work on it. Thanks for the review!
That was very cute! :) I'm glad Luna got her locket back!
Author's Response: Thanks! :]
To Queen97 and solemnlyswear_x- i didnt' believe in santa when i was 9. it just depends on the person you're talking to.
Author's Response: That\'s what I figured. I didn\'t believe when I was nine either, so I just used that-- but I didn\'t really know when the \'appropriate\' age was. :]
hmmm... powerful is the word im looking for. i like it a lot. good job.
~megan~
Ohhh that was beautiful! I almost started crying!
Author's Response: Thank you Lily. All reviews are greatly appreciated. :)
Bellatrix and Tom Riddle—two of the most enigmatic characters in Harry Potter—have puzzled writers and readers alike since their equally horrifying introductions. Why did Bellatrix believe she was Lord Voldemort’s most dedicated and favored follower? Why did the Dark Lord indulge a woman he could have squashed like an insignificant bug; why did he allow her to continue in her ‘delusions,’ if, indeed, they were delusions?
I believe that these allowances are not simply coincidences. Why should the most feared dark wizard of all time cater to a pawn? There must have been prior connections between the two to create this bond.
In “Black as Snow,” we glimpse a snippet of Tom Riddle’s life at Hogwarts, his (hypothetical) introduction to Bellatrix, and, afterwards, the special bond the witch and wizard shared … then, and now.
Created for the wonderful rita_skeeter in MNFF’s Ravenclaw Christmas Exchange, 2006.
Wow, Julia. It's beautiful and... haunting is the word I'm looking for, I believe. I have never thought of Tom as a real person before, and only one chapter in your story has changed my views. Wonderful job once again!
Love,
~megan
Author's Response: Thanks so very much, Megan, you\'ve no idea how much I treasure your reviews. They\'re a giant ego boost. *giggles* =) Just kidding...
That is a lovely word to describe this first chapter. \'Haunting\'. I\'m also very glad that you think of poor Tom as a person. He\'s always intrigued me, but as Voldemort ... Poor guy. Life dealt him a nasty hand of cards and he cheated. *sighs*
Anyway, thanks very much again for the lovely review.
Cheers!
~Julia~
Your vocabulary is amazing, it really paints a picture. I'll be looking forward to more!
Author's Response: *smiles* Thanks, Megan, you truly are too nice. =)
This was rather an intermediary chapter, but I had to somehow introduce the two main characters. Bella\'s hero-worship of Tom is interesting, isn\'t it? *giggles*
There shall be more, patience, patience... (And hopefully I get inspiration, eh?)
Thanks so very much, again!
~Julia~
*is grinning* That was awesome! I love Bellatrix and this made me love her more- what's up with liking characters when we should hate them?
When you say "I've never written this way before" are you meaning the sex? Because it was good. No need to worry about that. =]
Two random comments- first of all, the name Mamie made me smile- that's what I used to call myself before I could pronounce "Megan". And second, I love Cher! We sort of used to be pen pals... long story. But yeah. Keep this one up, it's really good. ~megan~
Hmm. A different side of Snape that I never would have considered before. You did a great job with the poetry as well. Good luck with the contest!
oohh, that's sad. beautifully written, though. i really like it. ~megan~
Author's Response: Thanks. I didn\'t want it to be too pining, as Ginny isn\'t that kind of person. Anyway, thanks so much!
Oooh, that was good! I'd almost forgotten he was a killer until the bit about Vladislaw Malinkovski and Fiona. Was that part of the dream or... ooh, it's all just delicious! This was really good, and I love the ending! I used to hate the Malfoys with a passion, but ever since HBP, I've felt sorry for Draco, and now you've began to make me like Lucius. How evil of you! Anyways, this gets a 10/10! ~megan~
Author's Response: That part was NOT all a dream, because... uh.. he\'s magic! And psychic! (That would be scary, seer Lucius.) I\'m glad you like Lucius, because I\'m dressing up as him for the DH release in two days. My costume is so awesome... (despite the fact that I\'m a short girl and he is a tall man...)
I loved this so much! It was weird, because I've been reading in Dark/Angst so much lately. The lightheartedness was a nice change!
I liked how Fleur was aware that the Weasley's didn't like her. I had always thought of Fleur as just thinking, "Oh, I'm beautiful, everyone loves me!" but this really showed off a different side.
Prof. Phily assigned us to read this for Character Exploration: First Years and I'm so glad she did. Great job, I really loved this. ~megan~
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I wrote her out of the idea that Bill isn\'t stupid, so surely she has something to offer; and she was a Triwizard Champion, so surely she\'s got brains!
