Voldy Therapy by PadfootBaby

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A psychiatrist unexpectedly shows up on Voldemort’s doorstep one day and claims to be his therapist. A series of frightening and quite disturbing subjects are soon covered, including sunbathing, treacherous followers, unicorns, names, the hippie era, evil bunny rabbits, and hair. After each session, work becomes increasingly frustrating for Voldemort, until he realizes that the therapy has taken away his love for killing things. He angrily attempts to return to the life he used to have, but torturing Harry Potter and his dorky little friends doesn’t seem quite as fun as it used to...
Culminates in the final... er... battle? between Lord Voldemort and Harry.
Nominated for the 2007 Quicksilver Quills! R&R - and have fun!!!

Sobs of a Child by tc015

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Second Place in March One-Shot Challenge.

What did he see in the cave that night? What made Dumbledore so frightened. A look at what Dumbledore saw that fateful night?

“Professor, can you hear me?” he says loudly, looking at you.

Who is he talking to? Is he talking to you? He can’t be. You aren’t a professor. Grown-ups are professors. Professors are wise; they would know how to stop the men. You don’t know how to stop them, so you can’t a professor.

I've reviewed this fic once before, but I feel that I must do so again. It is just that good. You've done a wonderful job with the second person POV. There aren't many authors who can pull that off and make it believable. It is simply wonderful and it really made me feel as if I was in the fic, experiencing those things. Chilling.

I also loved the descriptions. Everything is so vivid and so real. I felt everything as though it was me drinking the potion and seeing those memories.

Overall, I really enjoyed this fic (again!). You've done a great job making this feel real and tangible. Superb!

Hallie

Author's Response: Thank you again! I\'m really glad you liked. It\'s probably my favorite out of all the fics I\'ve written.

Wow. This is really amazing. It shows a side of Dumbledore that isn't very often shown. Good for you! I loved Fawkes' role in this story too. I think you finally show the close relationship Dumbledore has with his phoenix. I really liked your story!

Author's Response: I am so glad you liked it! Thank you for your review! I think there are some things ONLY fawkes really understands...I\'m glad you liked how I portrayed that in this story. Thanks again for your review!

The Pied Piper of the Black Forest by butter_beer_drinker

Summary: Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. -G. K. Chesterton

Can the hero slay the "dragon" that hunts his little girl and haunts his nightmares?

This is submitted for my final assignment in Professor Talons DADA: An Introduction to Dark Arts class.

I am proudly saluting you with the sword of Godrick Gryffindor.

A small warning, this story terrified me (and my beta) and made me cry. Read it with caution but please read it.

Wow...That was amazing Priz! You have such a wonderful writing style. Gryffies truly are the best. I love the description in the first few paragraphs. They set the stage perfectly.

The flashbacks are also perfect. It gives you a real sense of the developement between Roxanne and Draco. Wonderful!

"Every time he found something he liked or even loved, life just snatched it away from him, mocking him shamelessly. That’s why he refused to get fond of anything, but with Roxanne… he just couldn’t help it. And now, life was just stealing her away, as always."
*cries* Poor Draco! That is so terribly sad...but it was beautifully done. Once again, you are very adept at description.

“That I wasn’t mistaken after all,” she explained “I’ve always known that your eyes were made out of melted silver under an ice layer. And now, I’m witnessing how the ice is finally melting.”
*cries harder* That's so perfect! Gasp...I can't say anything more than that.

Overall: This is an excellent fic, Priz! Though you are new, you already write at a level it takes most authors years to acheive. Good for you! :) Keep writing and good luck with future fics!

*hugs*
Hallie

Author's Response: Aww! thanks for reviewing, Hallie! I feel sorry for Draco too... I think all he needs is a hug *hugs Draco*. I\'m really glad you liked it! Thanks again for your kind words, you really made my day! *hugs back*

Whoever told you to make this into a chaptered story is mental. That would completely take away the beauty and the brilliance of the story. This is one of the most AMAZING fics I've ever read. You presented everything perfectly. The pace of the story was perfect, the tone, the POV, and the content. OUSTANDING!!!!

-Hallie

Author's Response: You know, thank you. That was exactly the review I was looking for. I think it is mental too. The whole point of a one shot, is to hit the reader with something so fast they don\'t have time to respond. You captured exactly what I meant...perfecto! Thank you!
