Why, hello there! I am FenrirG, but everyone around here knows me as Fenn. I'm a proud Ravenclaw over on the beta boards, and am also a PI Accredited Beta Reader. I'm a member of SBBC, and absolutely love writing and fanfiction of all sorts.

Ahem. More about me, you ask? The truth is, I'm not too fond of giving out personal information. (Understatement of the year) But here are the essentials:
I ship Lily/James and Dramione. I have an unhealthy obsession with werewolves. I love Romance and Maurader Era fics. I was the June Ravenclaw of the Month, and won the Gauntlet Round 4. I love my Turnips!

Now, as for my stories. I have four chaptered fics up currently: Fenrir, Barmy With Love, Peeves and the Blue Fairy, and The Lycanthrope and the Leper. However, the first three are currently on hiatus, as I'm very engrossed with the L and L.

There was a little Ravensprout
Her name was FenrirG
And she thought that Turnip-Land
Was the best place to be

The other 'Claws were kind to her
And taught her all they knew
Now she's a juicy Turnip
Who will do the same for you

Hermione's Speech by Sly Severus

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The war has ended and the remainder of Hermione's class is graduating. However, this year the school has decided to have an official graduation, and Hermione has been asked to give a speech. She has also been asked not to dwell on the war in this speech. But how can she tell her fellow graduates to look to the future without understanding the past?

Wow... Sly, this story is absolutely amazing. There are so many things you did wonderfully that I scarcely know where to begin, but I suppose I'll try as best I can.

First of all, your characterization of Hermione was perfect; she somehow managed to stay true to her canon characterization, but it was clear how she has matured throughout the course of the war. Her emotions and her distress were very realistic, and the speech was absolutely beautiful.

"I refuse to stand up here today and pretend that the war didn’t happen. I am not going to pretend that there aren’t students here who have lost their parents and parents here who have lost their children." -This is such a wondeful and truthful statement--just beautiful!

"Our loved ones are gone because of hate.
" This sentence--and the entire paragraph preceding it--was just beautiful. It was eloquently and wonderfully written, and it is also amazing how true it is even in our real-life society. Beautiful.

My only bit of concrit is that "N.E.W.T.s" is supposed to be all capitalised, but other than that this was flawless. Wonderful, wonderful job.

Cheers, Fenn

Author's Response: Thank you so much for all the compliments. You really pulled some of my favorite lines from the story. I\'m glad they left an impact.

Thanks for pointing out N.E.W.T.s. I will try to remember to fix that when it\'s not 2am. ;)

Anyway, thanks so much for the review and I\'m glad you enjoyed the story.

My Sister Lily by Gonz

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The story of Petunia and Lily told in a parody of the poem “Annabelle Lee” by Edgar Allen Poe.

This was written for Cwiddy for Secret Badger – February in the Hufflepuff Common Room.
Reviewer: FenrirG Signed
Date: 03/18/07 Title: Chapter 1: One-shot

Wow--this is a very amazing poem... it is deep and poingant, and you've really captured Petunia's emotional anguish with remarkable insight and believability,

I love how you managed to stay true to "Annabelle Lee" while maintaining your own distinct style. Your word choice and diction is marvellous; simple yet powerful. My favorite part would have to be:

"Everyday when I look at her son I think thoughts,
Of my beautiful sister Lily.
Every night when I lie in my bed I dream dreams,
Of my beautiful sister Lily.
For I know that when she left a part of me died.
I would give the world to again be by her side,"

Simply beautiful... I am deeply touched by this poem, for it captures Petunia's emotions, regrets, and sorrow so very well... It's beautiful.

~FenrirG

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much. I really enjoyed writing this. It was a bit of challenge trying to keep true to the meter in \"Annabelle Lee,\" but it helped teach me the importance of word choice. I\'m glad you enjoyed my little poem, and thanks a bunch for the review!

Ashes of Stars and Rain by Visceral Love

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: There is nothing more potent than pure love. Luna and Draco have accepted love, but can they bring themselves to accept the changes that it has wrought? The answers lay between the ashes of stars and rain.
Reviewer: FenrirG Signed
Date: 03/17/07 Title: Chapter 1: Ashes of Stars and Rain

Wow! You are an absolutely brilliant writer--I simply love this story. Your imagery is so real and so vibrant... I can almost see the ripples on the lake, and smell the rain as it hits the ground... seriously!

I've personally never found Luna/Draco to be very realistic, but you've portrayed their tumultuous relationship in a very real, believable way. Although Luna isn't acting the way we've grown accustomed to, she is by no means out of character--you really managed to show how Luna has changed, without going into too much detail or backstory.

You've managed to set a very bleak, hopeless mood to the story; that's something not many authors are able to fully achieve. I can almost feel the emotional upheaval Luna and Draco are going through... but it really leaves me dying for more--how did they fall in love, and how will things end? But I suppose that's what makes this fanfiction so amazing... the past and the future are so vague, leaving it open to the reader's own interpretation.

Now, for the nit-picking! I only have a couple small issues.. here they are:

“Oh what haven’t we sacrificed?” There should be a comma after "Oh". =)

Secondly, the last sentence is great--but a teeny bit awkward. Maybe it should be "...every word she used she had learned from him." Just a friendly suggestion. =P

I thought there was one more little thing I was going to point out, but I can't find it anymore--I was to immersed in reading the rest of the fabulous story. Judging by the fact that I can't find it, I guess it is absolutely fine the way it is.

All in all, though, you're a simply amazing author. Your style is beautiful and unique, and you've managed to bring a simple story to life with your wonderful imagery and descriptions. I'm very impressed--keep up the good work, and I can't wait to read more stories from you.

~FenrirG (Fenn)

PS-I see you have a warning for Character Death... but I didn't notice it--am I missing or overlooking something very important?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for this lovely, spew-worthy review. First and foremost your compliments were to rival the text of the story in their vibrancy and quality, and I thank you for them. Secondly, I don\'t think I could auctually write a long-term fiction in which they fall in love. (I don\'t know if I could portray it realistically) Which is the main reason I strayed away from that. The thing with rarepaires is that the only real way to write them is to write the trouble in their relationship, otherwise it comes off as even more unrealistic. Thanks so much for your nit-picking, I really appreciate it. I\'ll go in and fix those things right now. Oh and the character death was that Lucuis Malfoy was killed by Draco, but that\'s fairly minor. I\'d just thought I\'d rather be safe than sorry.

Squeee!

Kate, this story is simply marvelous. It was so engaging and enchanting; I simply loved how the letters flowed together. A lot of time in stories like this, authors become to engaged in letters to fully develop a plot; however, you managed to work in a wonderful storyline so smoothly and seamlessly that it seemed completely natural.

I love how both Hermione and Draco were completely in character, while you also managed to show how they had changed. It was lovely, my dear, simply lovely. =] I adore how you worked Romeo and Juliet into the letters; it was a very sweet, lovely touch.

This was an absolutely fantastic story, and I’m definitely going to be reading more of your work, Keep up the wonderful writing!

Cheers, Fenn
