I am in the process of adding my stories back onto the site! I have done a little editing and some won't make it back here, but what does... and what I write from now on hopefully will pass your high standards!

I have done some tweaking to the chapters of Fawkes' Gifts and am now having to have them beta'd again. Please bear with me as this takes time between postings.

If you need to contact me, try PMing me on the forum.

Oh, I was astonished to find out that Hedwig's Tale was Podcasted! How cool is that? Thank you so much mudbloodproud for the nomination and thank you so much to Wendy/kiley the Mermuggle who read it so wonderfully.

Everybody Does It by Grimmrook

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: *Runner Up in the 2006 Annual Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Dark/Angsty*

It's the one thing everyone must do. You can't avoid it, you can't bargain with it, you just do it. It hurts sometimes, hell, it hurts most of the time, but it's also the most natural thing in the world. One of those rare things that makes us human.

This story is included in the Epilogues story arc, however it is a side story that can be read at just about any time. it is most favorable, however, to wait until reading Epilogues Part I for certain thematic reasons.

I decided to read this one before going on to part 3. You either have been at a deathbed, or you have one hell of an imagination. I have not cried for any fanfic before. I have teared up, but you actually made me cry. I didn't think it was possible, but you did it. Congratulations. Ahh well on to part 3.

Author's Response: Man, you beat me to the punch (I suggested you read this in my response to the review you left for part II ah well). Thank you so much. No, I\'ve never been at anyone\'s deathbed. Far from it. The closest was I had an aunt who was suffering from liver failure, and we visited her in the hospital once, but that was a very long time ago, the visit brief, and she was far from death at that point. Now that I force myself to remember, it was kind of surreal. I remember... I remember before that my dad telling me that she, like he, was an alcoholic, and that her game was to take her diet pepsi cans, empty them out about half way, and pour her booze taken from her secret stash into them. This had resulted in her liver eventually giving up on her. But anyway, during the one visit, like I said, it was quick, but it was also very strange. It was filled mostly with small talk, mostly about how bad the hospital food was, and then we were gone. That is the closest to a death bed incident I have ever had. No, this was completely my imaginings of having to tell my daughters good bye on my own deathbed. Well, only reviews to this story allow me to say this, so I\'ll say it, I\'m glad it made you cry. It\'s indescribable being able to communicate with someone through a story on that level, and I feel humbled every time someone says it. Thank you, and now I\'ll say I\'ll see you for part III.

My boys are only allowed to read the three singles and part I. The other two parts are a little too intense, in several ways. The younger, is content with that. The older is chomping at the bit to read the rest. Even though he knows it is not going to happen any time soon. They are pretty smart kids and they understand a lot more than most people would give them credit for, so not for a few more years.
From another Authors response, on Part 3, I have already got you on my favorite author list, and Part 3 on my favorite stories list. Whenever you update I will read and review. Thanks for the advice anyway. Now get back to writing! :)

Author's Response: HAHA! Yes mom! Actually, I\'m planning on spending a few hours tonight working on it. I spend much of my time online writing politics, and the website I write for is undergoing some overhaul, and we\'re trying to pick up the content, so I\'m spending close to eight to ten hours a day reading and writing for that. It\'s kind of funny though, that writing is fast paced and hectic, and the comments I get are not always quite as nice as I get here. By contrast, writing these stors is much slower, and sometimes much more relaxing, though because I\'m trying to get things just right, and it\'s much more precise writing, sometimes writing these stories is much more likely to induce headaches. Well, I\'m glad the boys at least got a chance to read the three singles and Part I. Ach... there I go again, answering reviews and not writing like I was told... In all seriousness, I hope to have chapter seven finished by the end of this week. Thank you so much.

Epilogues, Part I: Shadows by Grimmrook

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The war is over, and Voldemort is dead, but the aftermath isn't what Harry had intended it to be. Amid feelings he himself cannot explain, he flees to Muggle London. Can he overcome his inner demons and lead something other than the shadow of a life his existence has become?

Actually the third story in the Epilogues story arc. If you have yet to do so, please read Right Here and One Good Day prior to reading this. Upon completion of this story, you can move on to Epilogues Part II.

I really do love this story. I haven't looked at the other reviews yet, so I don't know if anybody else suggested Nickelback--Saving Me as part of the soundtrack. I couldn't get it out of my head as I read this. Maybe, because it is my favorite song, but it does seem to fit. You are doing great with the story and I am heading off to read the next one now.

Author's Response: One of the very very few, actually possibly the only Nickelback song that I kinda like, and you are right it fits VERY well. What I think I\'m going to do at the end of the Epilogues trilogy is put up a soundtrack for the series as a whole, you know, songs that just seem to fit the entire overall arc, and I can definitely see that song making the list. I hope you enjoy part II!

Bella is definitely up to no good, but when has she ever done anything good? Peter in animagus form would still be noticable with the silver hand, paw, whatever you would call it, so why does Bella think he wouldn't be noticed?
Camilla found something to help her keep faith in Severus, that was really good. And I like that you didn't have her remove the curse from Narcissa. She needs a little pain and a blow to her vanity for all she has put others through.
I hate that you are torturing poor Jon though. He seems like a nice guy, and Camilla should either leave him alone or forget Severus. I think she will continue to love Severus, so that means she will probably continue to torture Jon until she doesn't need him for anything else.
This chapter was a good one and I hope the next one will show where he is hiding, and bring them back to where they belong. Not that I want the story to be over, but the suspense is killing me here.

Author's Response: Camilla definitely doesn\'t mean to torture Jon. She needs him and she doesn\'t really realize that he\'s in love with her just yet.

Why does Dumbledore stick his nose into everyones business? And the house elves. Why does everyone want to kick them?
I told you he would regret booting her out. Too bad.

Marriage angst, ain’t it fun?
You left a poem at the end of last chapter, asking for reviews. I have one for you asking for responses.
You say you want reviews
From us to you
But what do you do
You are smiling
While we are waiting
Oh don’t leave us hanging
Leave us a response from you
Yes I know it is as corny as the one you left for us.

Author's Response: You\'re reviewing too fast! I can\'t keep up! Not that I\'m complaining. I\'ve responded to most of your reviews. Thank you!

This chapter grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go. It was great.
I loved the way the clung together, knowing they would soon be ripped apart. So right, and exactly what a married couple in love would do. I was glad to see I was right about what Harry was doing.
The sentencing was harsher than I hoped for, but with Scrimgeour as Minister, what else could you expect? I take it that was Percy who reminded him about the dementors?
Harry tried his best, and I was glad to see him go to Camilla. She needed it, even if she couldn’t hear him.
Severus is having a noble moment. Unable to let her go, but wanting her to move on. How touching.
Jon really has shown his friendship in the last few chapters hasn’t he? I am happy she has him to lean on, without the tension of earlier chapters.
I love your OC’s and I nominated one of them for a Quicksilver Quill. Camilla, for best female original character. I wish I could say the same for Jon, but I’m sorry, I can’t. He is great, but I nominated someone else’s character for male OC.
Have you noticed the sheer number of the ‘I’s in my reviews? Apparently, I can’t write my thoughts on your wonderful story without it. Anyway, great job, and I hope the next chapter comes soon. In the meantime, I have a story to finish myself, so see you next chapter…

Author's Response: You write such detailed reviews. *huggles* I appreciate your comments and thank you very much. And thank you for the nomination. That\'s awesome! Jon will get over it. Few people like him anyway. But I like him. And if Camilla won\'t have him, I\'ll take him! Lol. : )

Oh dear. I seem to say that a lot in my reviews to you. Anyway, I am glad Camilla has a friend, and that her mother was thwarted. Don't you just hate parents like that?

Author's Response: Yeah Camilla\'s mother is something else. And luckily, Jon enjoys sticking it to Catherine as much as Camilla does. : )

You are mean, but I can honestly say things like that do happen. Completely innocent things get blown way the hell out of proportion and what can I say? Stuff happens.

Author's Response: Yeah, Severus jumped to conclusions. He saw what he wanted to see.

No flaming. Just wondering, Have you lost your damn mind?
*laughing*
Just tell me things come right in the end.
I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Author's Response: It\'s not me! It\'s my evil and mentally unstable muse! I can\'t say anything about the ending but there\'s a lot more story to come. The next chappy\'s in the queue! Thanks for reading and reviewing! : D

He seems so playful. That is just weird. Good but weird.
As anyone with personal experience of the subject can say, If you want to make a man mad and make him leave, just tell him there is someone else. Whether it is true or not, he will get angry and stalk off. Good job.

Author's Response: Especially someone like Severus who is jealous and insecure as hell. Thanks!

Very short chappy. But overall was a good one. Can't wait to find out who and what. Hermione does like to write long essays doesn't she?

Author's Response: Indeed she does. Glad you liked it!

Narcissa, the tramp, I really dislike that woman. But anyway, the trials and tribulations of love and marriage are many. Sometimes you hide things, and sometimes you come clean. I can only hope these two will come clean.
I am off to write some more of my own chapter, be back to read more of yours in a bit.

Author's Response: Narcissa is pretty horrible. They eventually come clean and it\'s not pretty.

I was reviewing as I was reading, so I didn’t know you were responding that quickly. I wrote that silly poem as a joke in response to your poem asking for reviews. I wasn’t complaining, I was just having a little fun.
As I mentioned, I was neglecting my own work, so I needed to be creative for a minute. Didn’t come out worth a darn though. But it served its purpose. When I finished what you have posted I went back to work on mine, I am about six thousand words into chapter four. When I started reading your story, I stopped working on mine, because, there are certain similarities. Such as Severus Snape is a good guy!
Anyway, I left you a review on An Unexpected Gift last night, which I don’t know if you have seen, I thought it was hilarious.
When this updates, I will return to read and I promise to review, review, and review.

Author's Response: Hey, no problem! I just didn\'t want you to think I was ignoring all your lovely reviews. I\'m a review whore, so I love them all. I\'ll go take a look at your other review. Thank you so much!

That was another wonderful chapter. I really hate the lies and secrecy, but it works so well in this instance. It definitely makes for a great story. I am wondering who sent the Patronus. That makes me think someone in the Order knows that Severus is still on their side. You just skimmed over what form the Patronus took, I would say that’s because she only caught a flash of silver, not the shape.
The sleeping apparel argument goes on in every couple’s bedroom around the world on a regular basis and I think you did a great job portraying it from the female side.
The dream (nightmare) was not nice. As a wife and someone who is very much in love with her husband, I can speak from experience when I say, those dreams do happen and when they do; sobbing your heart out is only one reaction. Clinging to your husband and not wanting him out of your sight is definitely another.
Severus will try to do what needs doing and come back to her, but Camilla needs to stop being so selfish and understand. I do believe that Severus has a very large role to play in the downfall of Voldemort and if he’s not there because his wife is in need of reassurance, then things won’t go as planned. If he can make her understand that without making her aware of everything that is going on then I think he will have a chance to help in the final confrontations.
Wow that was a long one so I’ll stop here and say, great job, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of Severus and Camilla’s adventure. I will definitely be back when you update. Happy reading on Deathly Hallows, and see you after.

Author's Response: Again, thank you for the detailed feedback. : ) I know the dream was evil. But I could see her dreaming about that. You\'ll find out more about the patronus in the next chapter. And Camilla might be a little selfish, but she just got her husband back and she doesn\'t want to lose him again. I\'m glad to hear you\'ll continue reading after DH. I can\'t believe it\'s so close now! : )

Author's Response: You\'ll see...

Another great chapter, and I was glad to see Camilla showing the restraint she should. It can’t be easy knowing what her husband is involved in, and yet she was brave and didn’t beg him not to go. I really liked the romantic side of Severus. Who knew he had it in him? Apparently you did, so good job! I really hope he does come back to her safely, and they spend ‘happily ever after’.
I wanted to let you know that my first chapter has been validated, and I hope you will come check it out. We ‘Severus is a good guy’ fans have to stick together. The title is Fawkes’ Gifts.
Any way, enough about me, you really did a great job on this one and I can’t wait for the next one. Hopefully you can get it updated soon so we can find out what happens. See you at the next one.

Author's Response: Yeah, Camilla finally realized she needed to support him, rather than tried to persuade him not to do it. Romantic Severus! I knew it was slightly out of character, but he had a good reason for doing all that. Thanks! : )

Letters, letters, letters. Stop with the letters already.
Nice foray into explaining how he escaped death after the return of Voldemort. Good job.

Author's Response: Thank you! And I can\'t stop with the letters. They\'re like flashing neon signs.

Why oh why does anyone need to ask questions when the answers aren’t what they want to hear? My husband told me when we first started dating, ‘Don’t ask a question that you aren’t ready for the answer.’ When Camilla kept asking and Severus avoided answering, that should’ve told her what he had done. Not that he had found a liking for murder, but that he had taken an evil person out of this world. Bella deserved any and everything he could’ve done to her. Are you going to tell us exactly what he did? Or should we just use our imaginations?
The reunion in the kitchen was more of what I expected from them. Both tormenting the other with what they have been missing. I like that he broke first, he always seems so strong and capable of withstanding anything to stay in control. I guess he didn’t think about the fact that he loves his wife and he hasn’t seen her in over a year. Of course the libido would rear its head and take over. At least he wasn’t mean about it, he was sweet, kind and even a little funny. What woman wouldn’t love to have her husband acting that way?
You have written another amazing chapter and I am looking forward to the next one. BTW, How many more chapters are there? You are writing this from Severus and Camilla’s POV so when does it end, or does it? I wouldn’t mind it going on for quite some time, even after Harry and Voldemort have their battle. Can’t wait to see where it goes next. See you at the end of the next one.

Author's Response: Thank you! What happened to Bella is going to be a question that will linger. I meant it that way. I\'m glad you liked their reunion. They have a great chemistry-they argue and yet are still tender and loving to each other. There are a few more chapters; yes it does end eventually! LOL. Thanks for the long review! : )
