This store was composed in the middle of the first Gauntlet Challenge. As a result, those of you who have read The Labyrinth of Lost Souls may find the actual logic problem familiar. While I'm sure Snape would have a whole arsenal of such things, I see no reason that he couldn't have, by chance, used the same one both times.
