I currently live in the great state of South Dakota. Why do I live in a place with such nasty winters, I don't know. Since most of my family lives far away in more exotic places than I do, my life revolves around my four dogs, Sampson, Raphael, Seamus, and Mayhem. They are a min-pin, a toy poodle, a teacup Malti-Poo, and a Great Dane, respectively.
I've always had a fascination with the mental illness aspect that characterizes Bellatrix Black Lestrange. My first story is her story. On one site I was sorted into Ravenclaw but I think the hat made a mistake. Most days I feel like a Slytherin!
That Snape is a pretty smooth dude. It was like he had a reasonable excuse for asking the personal questions he asked. Ron is portrayed as the clumsiest lover ever. I didn't find his arguments to make Hermione make out with him convincing at all. I chuckled over the possible taking of points for making a clumsy seduction attempt:D Great chapter.
Snape is so sneaky. I guess it's a good thing he overheard Ginny and Margaret talking. I'd hate to see his carefully laid plans go to waste:D I think sending her to his personal library was a very safe bet. Great chapter.
I think that's true--this time the masters are bowing to the servant. I think Severus is going to get his way:D Hermione handed to him on a silver platter, or should I say silver bed:P Great chapter.
Interesting. I think I'd be suspicious of Dumbledore's matchmaking attempts, especially since he'd read my thoughts at one point. Were you implying that Snape's father was a wizard? Great chapter.
That sounded like a fun evening out. For some reason I don't think Severus gets out much so it was good to see him as Holiday Severus. Too bad Hermione had to admit to being a virgin. Oh well. It could've been a worse admission. Great chapter.
Do hangover potions really work that well? Severus is so cute when he's jealous:P It's interesting that he's aware of the Enchantment. Now, what's he going to do about it. Great chapter.
I was wondering what song lyrics those were. The concept of Enchantment is so interesting. How could Snape say no to Hermione for all those years? He is sure a man of strength. Great chapter.
That was a wonderful love story. Again, I was most grateful you let three of the four characters live:) See you in the next story.
I'm still getting used to Snape and Hermione being a couple. I guess I can see it. It's not so hard to imagine. I was worried that the Grangers were killed. I'm glad that some of the other characters are still in the story. I have a feeling this will get interesting. Great chapter.
Now, this is really getting interesting. I'm so glad you let some of the characters live after the war. I can't wait to see where this is going. Hermione is doing great as we would expect her to. Do you let Remus and Tonks get together? Great chapter.
I really liked this chapter even if Remus appears to have lost the girl. It was funny when Peter was the only Marauder to have a Friday night date--which he screwed up anyway. I could feel Remus' anguish as he went from thinkiing Lindi liked him a lot to discovering her, via the map, possibly snogging someone else. I remember that teen angst well even though I'm considerably older:D It was nice of you to make Peter look good in this chapter. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you, Fynnsmom. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. It was a bit of a challenge to write since I loathe Peter and being nice to him is difficult. lol Oh, I remember the teen angst as well...many moons ago, but that sinking feeling is difficult to forget. *sigh* Thank you for reviewing.
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply, or to post the next chapter. I'm dropping in now to post a bit of update on my progress. I was getting close, but real life attacked and slowed me down and now, I'm dealing with the affects of a natural disaster. :( I hope to make some progress over the weekend, since we are expecting some rain. Wish me luck. :) I want to get it posted so I can get to the lovely reviews I have yet to respond to. :*( Thank you all.
I guess this is the start of the romance:D I hope Remus gets the girl although I'm used to seeing him with Tonks. Remus was in the right place at the right time. He saw the beautiful girl, recognized her, and saved her from a battle. Plus, he got away without detention. Great chapter.
Author's Response: <.< Don't get me started on Tonks. >.> :P Yes, I think, aside from green hair, Remus was far luckier than he normally seems to be, wasn't he? But is this the start of the romance? >.> *dies* Well, it sort of is. ;) Thanks, Fynnsmom.
I don't know why but I chuckled over the bet. Don't get me wrong--I'm not one to approve of betting over a female but they are teenaged boys and this is fairly innocent. I'm still "betting" on Remus or maybe I should say hoping. Sirius is so arrogant but I love him. The Marauders are too much:D Great chapter.
Author's Response: :*) I know it isn't a particularly classy thing for the boys to have done, but I've known a lot of teenagers and well...>.> lol I feel the absolute same about Sirius. *loves the Marauders in case it isn't obvious* Thanks, Fynnsmom.
That was a pretty good chapter. Poor Lindi--what an experience. I can just see her jumping up on the desk with her robes held up, scattering papers all over. The conversation with Lily was hilarious, especially considering that all of the Marauders were listening in as animagi and with Remus under the cloak. The g-string was a great idea. I can imagine the look on Remus' face as he realized that girls really do have conversations like that. What was Padfoot thinking trying to shove his big nose under her robes:P Great chapter. I enjoyed it immensely.
Author's Response: Padfoot is a very naughty dog! LOL This was one of the more light and silly chapters and I have to admit to having loads of fun with it. The Marauders really are fun when they are being idiots! LOL I'm so glad you enjoyed it too. Thanks for letting me know.
Poor Sirius--lost the bet but I can't say I'm disappointed. Like Remus thought, Sirius had tried to chat this girl up a couple of years earlier. And besides, I'm sure Sirius can afford to lose the bet. It'll be good for him. Great chapter.
Author's Response: *huggles Sirius* Not that he needs or deserves it. LOL Thanks, Fynnsmom. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You can almost feel Remus' mother's heart break. How do you explain prejudice to a child? I felt angry with their friends who were obviously making up excuses for not associating with Remus. Then I felt hope after reading the letter from Dumbledore. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Fynnsmom. Being a mom myself, writing from Rena's point of view was a little tough. Granted I would never have to imagine having a werewolf child; *duh* there are so many things that can happen to a child that will sorely impact their lives. It is almost enough to want to put them in a padded room and keep them there until they are 30. :) But alas, we aren't allowed to do that. lol I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for reviewing.
You know, as stupid as everyone makes Peter appear he did manage to figure out how to turn himself into a rat and back. I'm not a Peter fan but I was just thinking that. I guess Remus has his work cut out for him trying to get Lindi to go to the ball. Maybe her heart will soften as summer gets further away in her memory. I really enjoyed reading this chapter.
I can understand Lindi's fear of snakes. I also have a fear of snakes--even little ones that you find in the garden. I don't actually fear them but I hate how they suddenly just pop out at you when you're innocently walking through the grass:D I'm wondering what's going on between the DADA teacher and Lindi. Bravo to Remus for sticking up for her even though it got him lines. James' boggart was pretty funny. I can imagine he would worry about going bald. Great chapter.
Author's Response: They say to write what you know and I know fear of snakes. *shivers at typing the word* Ughh...I have been known to nearly get run over while walking when I see a dead snake on the road and jump in front of oncoming cars to avoid them. Heck...I've jumped at a piece of rope I thought was a snake. *sigh* It is a problem. That was the only boggart I could think of for dear James. lol All that mussing of his hair...:) I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thank you.
Lindi sounds like an amazing flyer. I'm sure the boys were all picturing her lucky knickers:D I thought Lily was kind of obvious in making comments to Remus about Lindi. But then she doesn't know that her conversation with Lindi was overheard by all of the Marauders. Great chapter.
Author's Response: hehe Naughty boys.... :) I rather got a kick out of making Lily so obvious when she thought she was being so clever and subtle because she didn't know they knew....*gets dizzy* :*) But it was another chance for Remus to be embarrassed, but very pleasantly so, so I had fun with it. :D Thanks, Fynnsmom.
That was really interesting. It seems so obvious now that you mentioned it--that Lindi is afraid that she might hurt someone or something. I guess I'd be frightened of mandrakes too. I liked Remus characterization that brilliant people are sometimes psychotic. I agree with him:D Great chapter.
