Hello! You can call me Manda. I've loved Harry Potter for as long as I can remember, and I've written fanfiction for almost a year off and on. You'll find that I'm not hugely active, but I'm getting back into it now that the movies have all been released. This site is keeping me from going insane!

~ Random Facts About Me ~

~ "I'm highly logical, which allows me to look past extraneous detail and perceive clearly that which others overlook." -Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

~ I have this and other quotes written on white boards in my room.

~ Dobby, Luna, Ginny, Neville, Ron, Hermione and Rose are my favorite characters.

~ I ship anything canon, plus Rose/Scorpius. I can handle the occasional Neville/Luna or Sev/Lily if it's written well and believably.

~ I find a way to mention Harry Potter in every conversation I have. My dad says I have a "one-track brain."

~ I'm really good at math, and I'm two grades ahead at school.

~ Last year I was the only one in my language arts class who believed in second-person point-of-view. My teacher believed me, though. :)

~ Pickles are my absolute favorite food. They are awesome.

~ My Stories ~

~ Crashing Down Around Them: On Hold Indefinitely. I may come back to this story later and redo it, but for now I won't be writing any more.

~ The Christmas Caller: Complete! This is my first finished story, and I'm very proud of it!

~ I'm George Weasley!: Complete! This is a one-shot sequel to The Christmas Caller, suggested by a reviewer! I may add more to it eventually, but for now it works as a one-shot.

~ Spellbound: Chapter Nine Approved! This story is Chamber of Secrets from Ginny's POV, with a very interesting twist...

Padfoot Prohibited by Liveley

Rated:Past Featured Story
Summary: Giving high school essays a Marauder twist, this fiction is centered around the idea that some seniors in high school are require to write a letter to incoming freshman before they graduate. At Hogwarts, Seventh Years are given an assignment to write such a letter for the new First Years. Sirius decides to actually take an assignment, well seriously...sort of. He decides to look back on his entire Hogwarts years and write down his list of things not to do at Hogwarts.

That story was amazing! I laughed soooo hard at some of those things Sirius did! I haven't looked at your author page yet, but I'm hoping to find a sequel there. :)

This story was hilarious; I loved truth or dare in earlier chapters, and strip Quidditch was funny too. The things you're able to come up with!

The list was a wonderful idea, and some of the things on there were just hilarious. I loved the candy controlling Snape, and Dumbledore's singing socks. All the pranks were just wonderful.

The little 'romance' between Sirius and Raven was great, too. I hope you write a story eventually with them together.

I'm glad you didn't include much of the Marauders' monthly adventures- I think some stories are just really cliched and boring when they have those. I never was very interested in the Marauders during the full moon.

Overall, a great story! You're a wonderful writer; never stop! :)

The Dark Lord's Blog by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time? Well, that's an excellent question. Who would have known that the Dark Lord has a blog? (He also has a loyal following of readers, most of whom are Death Eaters and who post their comments.) Voldemort dispenses advice on everything from murder methods to germ protection to Power Rangers to shoes, and gives an account of the life of an evil overlord. But is he posting too much personal information online? And will Harry read it and find out more about the Dark Lord than Voldemort ever intended? Read and see.

WARNING: Extremely OOC behaviour from almost all.

That was hilarious! I loved it all. The comments were a great idea, and even though I thought it sounded kind of pointless in the beginning, it actually had a plot, which was great and brilliant on your part.

I'm going to add this to my favorites and check out your author page to see if you have any more stories now! Keep writing; you're great at it! :)

The Epic Tale of the Hogwarts Food-fight by Gin_Drinka

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."

After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...

"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"
Reviewer: ravenclaw1997 Signed
Date: 08/04/11 Title: Chapter 13: 37th Detention... and my confession under duress

This story is hilarious! I love the way you've portrayed Lily and the Marauders, and I love the friends you've given Lily as well. I have to say, the best part of this is McGonagall talking to Lily and James about the Mexican soap operas - amazing! I can't stand soap operas, and the way they talk about them makes me laugh histerically. How anyone can actually enjoy them is beyond me.

I'm glad Lily finally admitted to herself that she likes James. Hopefully she can find it somewhere in her to tell him that!

I'll be watching this story for updates. Please don't give it up!

~ Manda

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! And I know what you mean about soap operas. Where I'm from everyone watches them, absolutely everyone. There are 4 on every day on the main channel. Sooo absurd :) Thanks very much Manda, I have the next chapter half done!

Enchanted by Willow Rosenberg

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: ~Complete~

The summer after the trio's sixth year, people gather at the Weasley's for the wedding of Bill and Fleur. Hermione goes in high hopes, expecting a relationship to heat up between her and Ron. However, her arrival at the Burrow is greeted with a rather nasty surprise...

Pre-DH

2010: Ahaa, God, I just took another look at this story and, uh...the only defense I have is that I was a lot younger when I wrote it. Whew.

Reviewer: ravenclaw1997 Signed

That was awesome! I love your stories; I've read them all. This was nice and short, but still long enough to tell a story.

I absolutely love Ron and Hermione, and this was a nice fluffy fic that was just perfect. There wasn't too much fluff, but just the perfect amount. It's like the amount of chocolate chips in chocolate chip cookies; too much, and they become just chocolate, too little, and they become bland. Your story was the perfect chocolate chip cookie! (ugh, now I'm hungry)

Speaking of cookies, you deserve some! This is your first story, right? It sure didn't seem like it! You had a great plot for your first story, and it was just perfect. *hands virtual cookie* Great job!

The Pursuit by MagEd

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Harry and Ginny are happily married with a baby on the way. When they manipulate Ron and Hermione into both meeting them for lunch, the last thing anyone expected was for Harry and Ginny to be kidnapped.

Suddenly Ron and Hermione are left with nothing more than a note and the realization it’s up to them to follow the clues and rescue the couple they both love and adore. If only the clues weren't nonsense. If only they knew who could possibly have taken Harry and Ginny. If only they didn’t hate each other. If only they hadn’t once loved each other.

Life just got a whole lot more complicated for Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

Aww, that was wonderful! I loved every last bit of it. I think an epilogue would have been good, but it's great how it is too.

I especially loved the fluffy parts, which were perfectly balanced with seriousness and mystery. I could figure out some things, but others left me guessing, which I like.

Even though we don't see much of them, I loved the background Harry/Ginny. I loved the part when James was sleeping on top of Harry and they were both drooling, it reminds me of when I was a baby and my dad would make me watch NASCAR with him. Very cute!

I had a feeling that Hermione would be pregnant at the end, and I think a sequel would be great for this- mind you, I haven't actually looked at your author page yet, but I will, praying for a sequel.

The prophecy about Ron's 'super-baby' would be perfect for a sequel... Just saying. Overall, this was a great story- next stop: my favorites!

~Manda

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it so much and want to put it as a favourite! I love Ron/Hermione, but Harry/Ginny is probably my otp of the HP fandom, so I couldn't help but put some of them in the background of this. There isn't a sequel now, but you never know for the future!

The Letter by Cassandras Cross

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: DH SPOILERS! Harry is so consumed with his career as an Auror that he loses touch with Ginny and their children until a letter arrives to help him remember what really matters. But is something sinister waiting out there to take it all away? An escape from Azkaban, the first in twenty years, stirs up Harry's worst fears from the past as those he loves are threatened.

Romance, mystery, and drama combine to make this a story you won't soon forget! Set one year before DH epilogue. Completely canon compliant. All reviews receive responses.

THE EPILOGUE IS UP! I don't know whether to laugh or cry as this story comes to an end, and Harry finally figures out where it's really at. (Thanks again to the amazing mods for your rapid-fire response!)

I LOVED this story! It was one of the best fanfics I've read, and definitely the best one in a while. I owe it a round of applause! *claps enthusiastically*

I loved the fluff in a couple of the chapters (I always do) and I loved the mystery. I'm not normally very good at solving them unless they're very poorly written, and yours was no exception! I had no idea. Seriously.

I loved the Bee game, and I thought Percy's run around the house was hilarious. This definitely had a lot of parts that made me laugh, which I love!

The length was great as well. I love long stories, but I would never read something that had 50-something chapters. My eyes would hurt. A lot. Thanks for not making it painful! It was just perfect; long enough to tell the story, but not overly long to the point of being boring and causing me to see an optometrist.

Overall, this was an amazing story. I'm going to check out your author page now; I want to read more! Keep writing- you're great at it! You have a gift. May the force be with you!

Aww, that was awesome. b29;

I love Ron/Hermione stories, and I've been looking for a good one for about an hour or so, and this was just what I needed. It showed how Hermione felt about certain things we know for sure happened, like Ron walking out on her and Harry, and Hermione yelling at Ron about the Yule Ball.

It also showed some things that we didn't know happened, like Hermione and Ron kissing in the Chamber of Secrets and Ron's proposal.

This was a great story; awesome job!

As Happily Ever After As They're Gonna Get by cjbaggins

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.

Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.

Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.

This is such a great story. I read it all in two days, twice I believe. I remember it from reading another time, so I assume this isn't the first time I've read it, and not that it's like another story. If that makes sense.

I loved Ron's explanation of Hermione's engagement ring; I had to hold in my laughter so nobody else thought I was nuts. Great job on both of the rings, actually.

Overall, this is just an amazing story. I'm looking forward to more eventually!

:) Manda

Author's Response: Thank you you so much for your review. I did understand what you were trying to say: you figure you've read my story before, and not just that it seems like another. I'm pleased you liked the rings, and found Ron's description amusing. Those two are so antagonistic towards one another always ... Thanks again. Stay tuned cj

This was even better than The Letter! You really do have a gift with writing! I look forward to a sequel, which I am now begging you to write. PLEASE?!?! *puppy eyes*

Again, the perfect balance of fluff and mystery. Some of your 'sevens' were hard to guess, and it was clever that you had them at all.

I forgot to mention this when I reviewed The Letter, but your OC's all have wonderful names, and I think the way you connected their names to their personalities was brilliant.

Your plot in this one was perfectly thought out, just like The Letter. It had me guessing until the end! Rose Cottage's mysteriousness was perfect, and Albus' was as well. You captured everything perfectly.

I look forward to reading more of your work in the future, and hopefully that will include a sequel to this! *begs again* I have cookies!!

Aww, I love fluff! This was perfect fluff, too, really well written. I'm melting! :)

This story is great; at first I was like, "Oh no, it's another one of those authors that never posts..." But I really wanted to read it, and I'm glad I did. I'm begging you, though, please update! I completely understand how lives can get busy and that psychotic roommate thing freaked me out, so don't feel like you need to get a new chapter out every day or something stupid like that. I love updates, though. :)

Keep up the great work!
~Manda

Author's Response: Thanks for taking the chance to read this! I really do appreciate it. : ) I don't feel like I write fluff very well, so it's wonderful to hear that my readers disagree! Just to let you know, the Narcissa chapter is in the queue, but it may be a while for the others. I'm currently a full-time college student, and next semester I will start student teaching. School has caused me to put every project on hold! The only chapters left in this story are those for Luna, Molly, and Hermione. Molly and Hermione are mostly written, but Luna is giving me a run for my money! However, I do think I will have this story finished in the near future. Stay tuned! ~Kaitlin

The Only Thing by moonymaniac

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lily Potter’s love and sacrifice for her son is legend. But there was another member of the Potter family. James Potter was more than an arrogant toerag who finally grew up, more than a Marauder, more than a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He was a father.

I have a feeling, though, that this is taking place on October 31, the day James and Lily die, though. Poor James...

I loved how James and Harry were playing with the Snitch- the way you portrayed baby Harry was just adorable. :)

Great job! I'm going to read your giant story now, slowly but surely...

~Manda

Author's Response: :) Thank you so much, Manda. I'm so glad you enjoyed this little peek into James and Harry's father/son relationship that was just too short lived. :'( I have a feeling you are right about the date. *sniffle* I felt slightly better about it all by giving James a good day with his son. This story is AWESOME! I kinda forgot to leave a review when I actually finished it *guilt* but I am now! I love the fluff towards the end- you can probably tell I like it from my review of Enchanted. Again, the perfect balance!

The tricks and twists along the way were great, as were James and Lily always seeming to get stuck in the broom cupboard together. I love how Lily eventually teamed up with the boys and played tricks with them.

Your story has prompted me to like James/Lily stories a lot more; I never really liked them, but yours are great. I'm reading Stars Apart now, and look forward to every new chapter! Keep writing; you rock at it! *gives another cookie*

Aww! That was a really amazing story. The ending made me cry, and I've never cried reading fanfiction before. I was expecting more of James and Lily in the epilogue, but the way you had it was great, too.

This story was absolutely wonderful. It balanced perfectly the fluff and mystery. I love stories that do that. This is definitely one of my favorites.

I do admit that the memories kind of ticked me off a little. Every time I saw that italics I went, "Seriously? Can't we have some more story?" They were well written, though. My issue was that you always had a cliffhanger before them. Stupid cliffhangers. :P

I liked that the mystery of this story wasn't one of those ones that you can just figure out and read through the rest of the story to see if you're right. You had me guessing until the very end. I kind of figured Regulus had something to do with it after James and Lily used the Polyjuice potion, but I wasn't entirely sure, and I liked that.

The name Tate was kind of hilarious. Not just because it's an unusual name, but I used to know someone named Tate. Except she was a girl. :) I was like, "Tate for a boy??" Ah, good laughs.

I loved the fluffy parts (as I always do in stories), and I loved all the ups and downs James and Lily had. I actually thought that staged fight was real, until they didn't have a fight in bed. I was really expecting that, and I was like, "What?!?!" Then it hit me. Silly me.

Overall, great job! I love your stories, and I look forward to more from you in the future. Keep writing, whether it be fanfiction or original fiction! Maybe someday I'll see a book with "MagEd" on it. :) I doubt you'd use your username, but if I ever do see that, I'll buy it! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the mystery and it kept you guessing -- this is the first time I've ever tried something like that. I've never met anyone with the name Tate, honestly -- it probably really is a girl's name! ;) As for the memories -- I thought they might bother some people (I can't say I'd love them if I were reading and I simply wanted to know what happened next!) but I'm glad you enjoyed the story despite them :) Thanks again!
